Fox losing grip or interest?

If I were a coach I'd get the sh*t fined out of me. I'd bitch about calls all day long. Refs cost you games, f*ck them.

I don't know if I would go out of my way and sound like a crybaby, but I would definitely say something if it was legit.

It does seem like we always get screwed over by the refs, which has always astonished me since our owner is supposed to be in good with the league.

Figured that should count for something, guess not.

He never had any interest this season. He's a lame duck with a young and unproven team, along with an owner who wasn't gonna give him a chance.

Honestly, what would you expect?

for him to do his job, you know the one hes being paid $6.5 million to do. Which is why I have no sympathy for him in this entire ordeal

Foxy's teams have always been under-coached. He got some lucky breaks the SB year. How many times did that team have to come back and win at the end because when he got a 3 point lead, Foxy played not to lose?

Now he has a young team that needs to be coached up. (With still some talented vets around.) How is that going?

This is Foxy exposed.

I think this was one of the reasons why JR decided to go young. To really test Fox. And Fox has failed big time.

** “That worked out really well,” coach John Fox said sarcastically. “In hindsight I wish we had done something else.

** “We were in a little bit of a time issue there with no timeouts remaining so you’re a little limited. So we were not able to punch it in from the two inches, or whatever it was.”

Fox is the new Captain Hindsight.

Okay who is gonna photoshop his head on this?

John Fox suffers from Phil Jackson syndrome (except Fox doesn't have all the rings Jackson does).

The common thread- neither of them has ever nor can they develop young players. Phil Jackson never wants to play rookies and everything he's won is a result of having a team full of vets. John Fox has never been able to develop young talent and he dislikes playing them as well.

Now, LP, 'the other team practices and gets paid too'.

...you know, in response to his 9 years of not being able to cover a TE.

Frankly, if i were an owner, and I had a coach who gave that answer, I'd fire his ass on the spot...but, that's me...particularly when said coach is making $6.5 million.

Fox this season is like you telling your boss your leaving and boss ask you to work a 2 week notice and you say O K

{But in Fox case it's 1 season}

Knowing that you are gone in 2 weeks

Are you really going to be as motivated as you have been ?

Fox knowing he is not coming back is in that same mode !

Fox is just riding the train to the station.

More like the boss telling Fox, "You're fired...but we don't have anyone to replace you so you're stuck until the end of the year. Oh, and due to budget cuts, you get no new stuff. Here's some duct tape and glue to hold together what you have left."

It still doesn't excuse Fox's behavior but for anyone to think that this wasn't likely to happen are delusional.

that's an unfair characterization. It's more like, "Fox, you can choose to go after a new job if you want, or you can stay and continue here. Sure, you can test the market a bit."

Fox decided to come back, so let's not let him off the hook by saying he was fired at the end of last season.

It is in fact conceivable that had Fox really developed this young team to a winning record and the playoffs, he may even have been back.

My understanding was that the only HC job that Fox could had conceivably taken was the Buffalo gig, not exactly an improvement. What I do wonder is whether Fox already knew that the team was going to gut the roster and not allow any major signings. IIRC, head coaches get hired around January-February and roster cuts are in March.

I get the feeling that if it happened, he would had left anyway for greener pastures out of spite.

Can't remember who it was (maybe Jimmy Johnson or Dick Vermeil) but I remember hearing a coach say that after you've been around for five years or so, the guys have heard all your speeches and know all your tricks, so it starts to get a tad stale.

Now, if you've been a consistent winner like a Bill Belichick, they'll still listen because you've proven you know what you're talking about.

If you're a John Fox... :nonod:

Considering the current sentiment in Nashville about Fisher and the end of Shanahan's tenure in Denver, this rings very very true.

It's also conceivable that Fox did not like the oppurtunities he had that season.

At the end of this season Chargers,9ers,Cowboys will be in the mix

Still does not let him off the hook

But it's clear Fox is not into this team .
