MNF - Vick vs. McNabb pt.II

I am the first one to advocate for second chances, and no one likes a feel good story more than me.

That being said, I have a strong background in Mental Health, have a Masters in Counseling, and through my Community Mental Health service, have worked with a lot of criminals of all kinds. My life business has been helping people to change. But I know the limitations.

Vick is not a changed man. He has learned how to play the game. To do what he did, he has to have a character disorder so pervasive that it cannot be changed. Most who torture and abuse have had a bad childhood. Everyone who has had a bad childhood does not torture and become an abuser.

This is not a simple learning from a mistake. Abusers are a different breed. I will never want him on my team.

I wont try to refute anything you just said or talk down to you about the psychology of someone, as if i know them or am as educated as you are on the matter...but does it make any difference at all that he's, yknow, not fighting dogs anymore and is focusing on football and awareness?

Vick is the exactly right system for his skills. Just like football being about matchups for head to head, so too for a players skill set and coaching, formations, personel. Vick should be the most grateful man in America for not only a second chance but going to the perfect team.

He could have been exiled to a bad team or worse, NOT accepted back into the league.

Vick, you are incredibly lucky man. Keep taking advantage of that second chance.
