Unfortunately, the refs were waaaay too obviously on TB's side during the entire game yesterday.

You can't be serious. The Bucs had 2 BS 15 yard penalties called on them on that last drive. Even the guys in the booth were talking about how bad the calls were. Mora Jr. was steaming.

The only thing that I remember being a questionable call against the Panthers was a PI call on, I belive it was Beason when he was covering K2. They were both fighting for the ball and it should have been a no call.

IF you think that Clausen would have scored without Talib's hit, then you know nothing about football.

I don't think Clausen would have scored if Talib didn't come in and hit him, but it was possible and they were still trying. The play was still live. Honestly, what would you expect Talib to do? Just sit there and watch the play go on or jump in there and try to help while it's still live.

He hit him in the head can't you get that through your skull?! What does he get by hitting him in the head helmet to helmet? some cheap thrill? He wasn't going to score. If you can't see that, then I'll assume you are too dumb to comprehend. go back to the 5th grade.

I think I had an account before, but I forgot it. And I'm not just trying to stir the pot, but this thread did compel me to create an account and post. I'm not a troll. I'm trying to have a legit discussion here. I find it hard to believe that not a single person on Panther land understands that Talib was just trying to help make the stop. Yes, he went in there agressive, but it's freaking football, folks.

So he was just supposed to quit before the whistle blew, because Clausen probably wasn't going to score? I'm guessing you've never even touched a football in your life or you are a kid and you just don't understand.

On top of the fine, it should have been a defensive penalty for hitting a defenseless receiver and the game should have been extended an extra play. Instead, Smith got the penalty and the game ended.

You can't make this stuff up, I tell ya.

Talib had time after clausen was stopped to run halfway across the field and spear him. It's not a defenseless receiver, it was just unnecessary roughness, AND a late hit. Either could have been called.

How is a late hit called before the whistle ending the play blows?

Talib should be suspended for the season. There's no place for that type of play in football.

Dante Wesley was suspended for one game for knocking a player out cold on an indefensibly dirty play and you think Talib should be suspended for seven games? Really?

Oh thank God. Now the late hit comments will stop, at least.

after watching the video, I can't say I agree with either fan base here.

Talib was trying to stop clausen and railed him, smitty took exception to what he took to be a cheap shot on his QB and retaliated. nothing more, nothing less. I completely understand both sides of the argument here. best way i see it is that poo just happened.

I didn't see a helmet to helmet. I say Talib use that grey area of pads/helmet. Polamalu does that type stuff almost every play. Now, if you want to say he came in late I may agree to that. I love Smitty sticking up for Jimmy though.

Yes the play was over, Clausen was stopped. In fact the game was over. Taking out the QB served no purpose for the Bucs. That made the hit even dirtier.

Somehow I get the feeling if he were planted on a dirty hit you wouldn't be upset because it's Clausen getting hit. Fact: whistle blows, play is over. Hit after play on player unable to defend himself = dirty. Another fact to add to your collection. Homie.

the best thing for you to do is just not say anything. because all you can do is laugh it off and fail at making jokes because you know you are wrong. the fact remains is that it was a dirty play. nothing you can say will change it.

i think you being pissed off cause your team sucks is to blame for the tears your rolling down your face, take it like you have a pair. i didn't remember you saying anything about the clifton smith hit, yet you wana ball your eyes out like a lil bitch when it happens to you... BTW the hit on smith was sooo fuking dirty, and if AQIB fuging TALIB all 170 pounds of him lays out your punk ass Qb then you can only blame your pussy ass qb for being a lil bitch. :)

take that punk to the flag football league if he cant take a hit, SWEEP BITCHES!
