Would you take Carson Palmer?

Benson was good last year, but when else did Palmer have a good running game? Someone tell me cause I can't remember..... cause there wasn't a time.

Yeah, he only had Rudi Johnson who ran for 1454, 1458, and 1309 yards a piece in his first 3 seasons at QB.

And he had 18TDs 18INTS, 32TDs 12INTs, and 28TDs 13INTs respectively in those seasons. You give Palmer a running game like ours with hopefully a stronger OLine and we could instantaneously be contenders. Without a doubt I would pick him up while giving Clausen time to develop. With that said, I highly doubt the Bengals let him go.

Ah, got me, I thought of Johnson, then Larry was the only one to come to mine. Still, poster below posted something to help that cause.

Palmer would be a good stop gap, maybe even great stopgap. I still don't know if he's out of Cinci though.

Lol if you think Palmer in 2006 is anywhere close to being the same player today. We have already had one qb who self destructed after tearing up his elbow, I'd prefer to not have another one who is already showing major signs of it. if we need a vet, I'd rather have Troy smith.

You have to wonder why he isn't doing very well in Cincy with all of the talent he has at WR. Maybe it is coaching, maybe it is Palmer. I have watched a couple of his games and he makes a lot of inaccurate passes. Can he get better, who knows. I tend to think that Carolina will stick with Clausen unless our next coach is against this. You would think if we are going to get Cowher, he is going to want a vet guy.
