Would you take Carson Palmer?

i'd take him and let clausen watch for a few years. that way, we could draft o line in the first.

OL in the first round??? What are you smoking my friend? We are going to have either pick 1 or 2 and you want to take an OL when we have Jeff Otah coming back and just signed Jordan Gross to a long-term deal? There is a ZERO percent chance we take an OL. The pick is either Green or Luck (unless Mallett vaults him in the combines and interviews). Sorry I know this thread is about Palmer...and no I wouldn't take him because we are going to have Andrew Luck or Ryan Mallett on the squad next year.

Nope. Palmer has hit a wall. If we bring in a FA QB, I hope it's McNabb.

That "wall" you're speaking of is everyone in the NFL's defensive line. Palmer wouldn't come here if we gave him the stadium. He doesn't have an O-line now which is why he's getting killed in Cincy.

If Carolina had an O-line I'd love having the guy here. In my opinion, aside from the O-line, the biggest missing piece of this team is a veteran leader at QB.

Yes, unless he wants a ton of money.

Benson was good last year, but when else did Palmer have a good running game? Someone tell me cause I can't remember..... cause there wasn't a time. He's been forced to throw and throw and throw and you wonder why he gets INT's? Most of his years at Cinci they had NO defense either. So you ask why he couldn't turn them into a winner? Well because he's not Jesus.

I think he would be good on a team like this, with (hopefully) a good O-line next year and some stud RB's where he doesn't have to be the only guy doing things.

And arm strength is nice but you don't always need that. He has experience and knows how to hand off to RB's.

I think it would be nice to have a vet Qb out there while whomever our young QB(s) is/are get some time to develop with hopefully a staff that can do such things.
