Troy Smith

Troy Smith isn't the Problem in San Francisco.

IMO he did the best he could with what he had, especially against GB, they couldn't stop GB on defense so there Offense became very predictable.

If it wasn't for Troy smith the 49ers would have lost the game against the rams and been out of it by now.

Very Poor Decision by "The Dummy" to go back to Alex Smith.

All your comments in Troy Smith threads are swipes at me or posts telling us how he's not that good. Now you "want him"? LMAO. You never bring anything of value to these threads. And I stand by my original point, no matter how many times a white guy on this board suggests a white QB, you never grill them or hold a grudge with them for it.

Alright now that you've brought this up, prove it. I dare you. Also, I call YOU out because you make such a big point about race. Of course you're going to deflect and straw man but then again that's what delusional people do.

You ONLY care about white QBs. Again I ask, when have you ever accused a white guy on this board for supporting Luck or Jake or anybody simply because they are white. The answer is NEVER. You're a hypocrite plain and simple.

Prove it. You make the statements now back them up. Even though I wanted Troy here, I clearly am racist. You crack me up sometimes.

Hear you go with that "we are the world" BS. Knowing damn well, you're so full of poo.

You keep making these statements without proof. BACK IT UP.

Not acknowledge "race" at all? I guess thats the only way to accept people who dont look like you Brandon. You have to make them "invisible" or ignore their "differences" since you cant accept them. You hollar "colorblind", I hollar "colorful".

Do you even know what you're saying? That the only way you can be friends with someone of a different race is to emphasize what race they are? I have a novel concept for you here, why not just be friends with someone for who they are and not give a poo if they're different from me, cause everyone is fuging different regardless of skin color or the like.

Im not hispanic or asian.

So you only care about black people then? Interesting. There's a word here, for people who only care about their race... I can't quite seem to remember it. Can you help me out?

You aint black either. So truth is, you really cant relate to things I speak on. Your best hope is to sit back and try and understand.

Ah yes the classic race card comment "you aren't (insert my race here), you can't understand." So what? You also have no idea of anything about me but obviously you speak as though you do. Hypocrite much?

If Troy Smith was white, you wouldnt even be in this thread. If he were white, you wouldnt even care if

Right cause I posted that I wanted him here and that he was a good QB, not long after the thread was made, I didn't even really know who made it until everything clicked.

But my point still stands, as long as someone is bigging up a white QB, no problems from you. But the second, they extend that to a black QB, the bigot in you comes out. Ive at least shown I can celebrate the greatness of a white QB, where's your thread on a black QB or how you want us to go after Troy Smith? Nowhere to be found.

Oh yeah cause I really called people out in the other Troy Smith threads in the past. And if you want I will give you proof, but of course that would go against your paranoid/delusional reality.

nothing against you, but that italicized dialogue you always seem to write reminds me of this

i also incidentally found this one and thought it was appropriate for the feel of this thread

It's actually a habit I picked up from reading Stephen King books when I was younger. He tends to put secondary thoughts and afterthoughts into italics and parentheses.

I've been a Troy Smith guy, and maybe it was whatever they were saying with the playbook, that Troy didn't know all of it yet b/c he got there late, but WOW...

Niners up 40-14 in the 3rd with Alex Smith as the QB, he's got like 200+ and 3 TDs as of right now.

I mentioned this in the other thread. Alex Smith deserves his props for how he's come back today. Thats the way you want to see a QB step up and play after being on the bench. We'll see if he keeps it up. But today, he's shining.

Yeah, I didn't know there was another thread on it but you're right on. I mentioned the possibility of bringing in Alex as a vet guy as well, b/c I think his contract expires after this season. But, I've also talked about bringing in Troy as well. I think both would fill the role well.

Problem is, it seems Alex always pops back up with a great performance or two when he's seen adversity, but then it's like once he gets comfortable again, he kicks back and decides to be mediocre again.

Troy Smith is reportedly back in as San Francisco's starting quarterback, another twist in the wild and crazy journey that has been the NFC West division race this season. According to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, Troy Smith will replace Alex Smith at QB when the 49ers venture to St. Louis Sunday with their playoff hopes on the line.

The 49ers first turned their offense over to Troy Smith in Week 8 -- with Alex Smith sidelined by injury, Troy led San Francisco to a 24-16 win over Denver. He then held the starting role for the team's next four games, despite Alex Smith's return to health, posting a 2-2 mark over that span. But a shaky start in a Week 13 loss to the Packers pushed 49ers coach Mike Singletary to reinstate Alex Smith as his starter. That chapter in San Francisco's QB saga lasted a mere two games -- the 49ers were thumped, 34-7, last Thursday in San Diego, as Alex Smith struggled to get the offense moving.

San Francisco's third option at QB is veteran David Carr, who is just 5 of 13 this season in limited action.

Rather amazingly, despite a 5-9 record, the 49ers can still win the NFC West and capture a playoff home game -- San Francisco has to win at St. Louis, beat Arizona in Week 17 and hope the Seahawks lose at least once.

St. Louis, meanwhile, controls its own destiny. If the Rams beat San Francisco, then win at Seattle in Week 17, they would take the NFC West with an 8-8 record. Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said his team wasn't going to concern itself with San Francisco's QB situation.

"We had a similar situation last week for Kansas City (deciding between Matt Cassel or Brodie Croyle),'' he said. "I've always been a firm believer, there might be a few things here and there, but you're defending the system. The thing I know about San Francisco is they run the ball terrifically well. They have a great offensive line. So we'll have to prepare for both in some regards. There are slight differences. But there are a lot of other things that that football team does offensively really, really well and they do it well with either quarterback.''
