I didn't pay attention to the replay, but a quarterback that's rushing and not sliding is fair game, especially on a QB sneak. But again, I didn't pay attention to the play. I just know everybody has been overreacting to the slightest hits on our guys lately.

Clausen's momentum was stopped, he took a shot from some Buc, and then Talib-an came in and hit him helmet to helmet.

Two tampa bay defensive backs lead with their helmets into Clausen at the end of that play, the second being Talib after forward progression was clearly stopped. Smith's hit was retaliation.

I'll have to watch it again, but the only part of jimmys body that was exposed was his head, and he might have been able to get in the endzone if talib didn't knock him back. What do you expect him to do let him score?

so if the only part of a players body showing is his head, its OK to hit it helmet to helmet? yeah, im pretty sure that's not right. I would expect Talib to recognize that hitting Clausen helmet to helmet could potentially knock Clausen out for a few weeks with a concussion, but instead of thinking or respecting other players health, he went in helmet to helmet on a player that had already been stopped short of the goal line with no chance of scoring.
