Yeah Clausen isn't as bad as people have made him out to be. Draft/sign some oline depth and get Otah healthy, sign a decent vet QB and we can get better... or give up everyything and sign free agent Peyton Manning.

If he can continue to improve then I'm cool with keeping him around. If the new CBA is reached then we have a lot more of an incentive to draft a QB high because of the lesser financial commitment.

But yeah I'd rather see us turn that high 1st into a mid first and a few 2nds.

I think this team would be better off with blue chip RG, DT, and DE than another rookie QB.

It would be incredibly stupid for this team not to take an olineman high. I don't care the QB is, if you can't protect him, you have no shot

This is Clausen's best and only good game of the year. Davidson has done a much better job of playcalling for a rookie QB. A lot of Clausen's throws are on well designed WR Screen plays and a few other were back shoulder throws.

Still Clausen seems to struggle putting the ball where it needs to be on really easy passes to the TEs and backs. Although if they would catch some of these passes they get their hands on it probably wouldn't be as noticeable.
