Cowher hints at Carolina Job on CBS pre game show!

I think Cowher is a good coach and the Steelers have a solid organization.

Why can't both be true?

Solid organizations also hire good coaches.

Good coaches help draft, develop, and coach talent. That talent can continue to excel without them.

That does not make the coach any worse...

....just having a hard time getting past the odds of a retread getting us to the promise land because its never been done. Dont get me wrong, I'd love the attitude Cowher could bring to the team. JR' wants to be like the Steelers but not sure if we should take their leftovers..

But the fact is a retread can and have won superbowls before it just depends on the coach himself and what the situation is.. I think our situation is primed for a recharged and hungry coach like cowher to return and lead us back to prominence.

If I were JR I wouldn't want to wait on a "young coordinator" to formulate a plan to get us to the playoffs. Young players + young coaching= mistakes

There is probably no other coach out there who would want to bring a championship to Carolina more than Cowher. This is also JR's goal so this totally makes sense.

Cowher would have INSTANT respect in the locker room.

It took Cowher a while to get a QB...when he finally did=SB. Think he learned from that?

There is still a very good young core of players on this team. I believe we aren't in need of a QB. Cowher is very much like Fox in that they don't need a super star QB just someone who manages and doesn't turn it over. If the guy becomes spectacular then thats gravy. Jimmy Clausen is that and still may have upside(judging his last couple games).

I say he uses this high pick on the Dline and gets DeQuan Bowers out of Clemson. Him along with Johnson and Hardy would be great.

Just because Bill is a 3-4 head coach doesn't mean he'll change the panthers to a 3-4 team. Mike Tomlin is a 4-3 head coach and the Steelers are still playing in a 3-4. Oh, and Thomas Davis didn't say he didn't want to play in a 3-4 he just simply stated that he's not built for a 3-4 because of his size, and to tell you the truth he's right. If you know football you would know that 3-4 inside and outside LB's are much bigger than 4-3 LB's. Norwood and Everette Brown are the only ones with the size to play LB in a 3-4 scheme, but the both of them don't have fluent enough hips to pull it off, so please stop with the "We can pull a 3-4 Off with our current LB's" poo.

HMM, Fox used to think Thomas Davis was a safety. What to do, what to do...

Ahhah, tell Davis he's now Troy Polamalu!

But seriously, with Davis' torn knees he should be glad to get a contract playing anywhere next year.
