Panthers inactives vs. Bucs

The Panthers inactive list had a new look Sunday, thanks to the injuries that have decimated their backfield.

Running backs DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Tyrell Sutton out with injuries and inactive, along with defensive end Greg Hardy (concussion).

That left them with only three real choices to make, and wide receiver Devin Thomas, linebacker Abdul Hodge and cornerback C.J. Wilson were down, along with third quarterback Armanti Edwards.

He takes the field all week in practice. If he's not ready then he's not ready. From what I saw in TC, he's not even close (granted that was months ago).

Yea I think this is getting ridiculous. They wagered so much on the kid and now even in a trashed, loosing season your not going to get him out there to get his feet wet? Bad call.

i hate our coaching staff.how is anyone going to get better by sitting on the bench, and devin might be the 2nd best wr on the team, but has yet to see the field.

Relatively speaking, if Clausen is ready enough to start at QB then Edwards should be ready enough to start... somewhere.

Since he is the emergency QB the chance of seeing Edwards is greater than 0, but I hope we don't until the end of the season when Fox and co are just screwing around with new ideas.

Can some explain the point behind the QB3 rule? Can a coach just make the 3rd QB one of his actives before gameday and avoid it if he wanted to?

Just to point out, Pike was 3rd QB last week and made the field. Perhaps we'll see that this game? Hopefully not due to injuries though.

Our coaching staff seems to have zero ideas in their head. They are too conservative. Just like some other people, they have heard that a shorter QB cannot play in the NFL........baloney.

At least maybe Armanti Edwards will play a lot in the fourth quarter. Clausen is bound to have a few good plays today, he is way overdue for a few. Team probably has no faith in him though by now.
