Official 3-4 Defense Thread

The truth of the matter I don't care either way what happens but to see a dozen threads about the same thing, I figured why not go with the Peppers solution that is stickied at the top of the page. Just channel all the 3-4 stuff into one area!!

Your high off your ass. Thomas Davis is probably the strongest linebacker on the team. I've seen him bull-rush very good tackles and drive them back.

I am high off my ass, because I know what I am talking about? Thomas Davis did 19 reps at the combine weighing 230lbs. Sure, he weighs a little more than that now and I am sure he is a little stronger too. But, guy's like Harrison, Ware, Merriman.. those guys were in the 28+ range. Being the strongest LB on the Carolina Panthers is not saying much.. do some research first. If Davis plays in a 3-4, it is at MLB.

Davis would be outside on a 3-4, and Peppers isn't gonna be a Panther.... Diggs would likely move inside, with Connor/Anderson behind him...

Davis is too small to hold the edge in a 3-4 and couldn't shed blockers as is needed. If Peppers is gone, then the picks we get for him could stock the positions we need. Diggs would likely be a back-up or casualty if we change schemes but could play some inside. I am surprised that Anderson is still here anyway but since we would have to keep 8 or 9 of them he might survive.
