I know there is Suggs, Cassell, Haynesworth, etc..but the guy that I would absolutely break the bank for is Nmamdi Asomugha. You just don't find 6'2'' 210lb corners with his speed and his hands. You have guys like Gamble who have the hands and size but not the speed, you have Ike Taylor who has the size and the speed but not the hands. Asomugha is about to enter a part of his career that will set him apart as by far the best corner in the league and IMO he has the chance to pass guys like Champ Bailey and Mel Blount as the best corner in the history of the game. IF there is a way to con ol' AL out of Asomugha for Peppers I would do it in a heartbeat. I will even go one further and say that I would trade draft picks AND Peppers for Asomugha.

Peppers and a 3rd round draft pick for Asomugha and you have yourself a done deal...

Today's game is becoming WAY more pass happy then ever before. Imagine having Asomugha on one side and Gamble on another...Our LBers and DL could hold down the run and get enough pressure to cause some mistakes. Plus it would allow us to actually be able to blitz instead of getting burned every time we do.

I'd give up Pep and a 3rd for Asomugha in a heartbeat. I've never seen a corner shut down Smitty the way he did when we faced them in Oakland.

If I had my druthers I would do everything possible to put together a deal for Peppers and Asomungh, and sign Albert Haynesworth. Those 2 guys would really help to turn our defense around. Also, a guy like Suggs would be a great addition to our LB core.

I like Aso as well. The guy deserves a far superior team than the Raiders.

I really wish we could scoop up T.J Hous somehow. Doubtful, I know. But the guy isn't a selfish player and he is the type of possession receiver that would be perfect between Smitty (#1) and Moose (#3). Two insane WR threats. That's what I like.

Thats a tough call but Id prob. pull the trigger on that one. We'd have two shutdown corners for the next 4 or 5 years. The only problem with that is it leaves our D-Line with severe depth problems, and assuming we get gross locked up, almost no cap space. But I suppose our linebackers would pick up the slack.

That's why a dominant D Line is even more important to put the pressure. My vote is for Suggs. Put him at SLB and let him and Davis alternate edge-rushing.

dunta robinson please. let lucas walk and let robinson, gamble and marshall lock down our corner spots for the next 5-7 years. franchise and trade peppers + 5th/6th rounder to green bay for their '09 first round pick + brian brohm. use the draft selection on the dline for either orakpo, brown, or maybin. one or two other splashes is all that's necessary. this team was quite solid all around and just had a 12-4 regular season. i wouldn't mind tank johnson or gabe watson on the line and maybe angelo crowell at backer if diggs isn't retained.
