They showed it this morning on SportsCenter....he took Darius for us....

oh...Im still in the thinking that we will trade down and take an olineman. If I had my choice, id pick a CB early. Id love to have a really good corner opposite Gamble. Put Marshall back at the nickel where he belongs. or trade him...

No way in hell we sign Marshall as a nickel this offseason. We either sign him as our number two and overpay him or let him walk

I hope we wait until next year to take an o-lineman in the 1st. There is only one complete tackle this year, and that is Derek Sherrod frrom Mississippi State. Carimi cant pass black, Costanzo is overrated, Barksdale is overrated, Darius Morris from Temple plays against smaller school talent. The guards suck, and the centers are good, but we dont need one. here is next years o-linemen

Matt Kalil, OT, USC-Ryan's brother, a projected top 15 pick by walterfootball

6'5, 295

Nate Potter, OT, Boise State, has started at LT since his freshman year. a bit raw, but if coached up can be a great tackle.

6'6, 296

Stephen Good, G, Oklahoma, highly rated o-lineman coming out of highschool, has played like a top 20 pick.

6'6, 299

Cordy Glenn, G, Georgia, Struggled early in the season, but since then has been a top 10 guard in college

6'5, 330

If Tyron Smith comes back next year (all indications point to him doing so) then there will be two USC OT's with first round grades...

I know no one wants to hear it, but a disruptive defensive lineman is much more important than a reciever and can make a solid corner look better than he really is.

Green would present an instant remedy to our troubles finding capable outside threats, and Peterson is legit as hell, so i wouldnt have a problem drafting either one AT ALL. But selecting a defensive lineman with the team's first pick if Andrew Luck isnt there makes sense. This team has zero depth at DT, and besides Charles Johnson every other DE on this team is either not a pass rusher--Brayton, young and very well may be injury prone--Hardy, or sucks--Everette Brown. So if we have the 3rd or 4th pick, i dont have a problem with Fairly, Darius, or Bowers.

If there was a great DT in this draft I would agree but theres not. Each DT out there has a red flag or two. Darius played in a 3-4 and Nick Saban has not produced one good NFL player, Fairley was MIA for pretty much his entire career until this year. The difference between those two and guys that will probably be there for our 3rd round pick like Marvin Austin or Drake Nevis is not great at all, there is a ton of DT depth in this draft but not an elite guy. Luck, Peterson and Green are pretty clearly the top 3 players in this draft with guys like Prince and maybe a guy like Bowers below them. If you have a top 3 pick you take the best player you can get. If we are going to draft a DT with our top pick we should trade down.
