Moore never started a game in 2008, except maybe Jan 2008.

but to answer your question, they probably dumb it down because the QB's can't make the throws for the whole playbook. I doubt the Panthers passing playbook is that big anyway, probably like half a page written on the back of a McDonald's cheeseburger wrapper.

You would think it's abbreviated somewhat, allowing the rookie to get some basics and gradually expand with play variations, that makes tons of sense. If we could only get a close up view of that QB wristband to see how many numbers are on it.

My guess: 1: run up the middle, 2: run right, 3: run left, 4: throw it away, 5: throw a pick, 6: punt, 7: fumble snap, 8: fumble RB exchange on play 1, 2, or 3; and 9: one-hop it to Steve Smith.

That's it.

There was a disney movie back in the 70's with Mule that could kick a field goal from 90 yards out. The offensive game plan was get it to the 20, take three knees, and let the mule kick. Is that a simple enough game plan? And can we find a fg kicking mule?

      Qbs aren't defined by physical abilities. Brady, Brees, Manning, Montana, Warner,.....doesn't seem to correlate.

      Corbett might not be gone

      If we are going to spend the money anyway, maybe the signing is not as bad as it seems.  Mays outperformed Corbett (before his injury and if you go back to last year, Corbett has been below average) and then Christensen took the job and Mays quickly took it from him and never looked back.  He could use improvement reaching to the next level (LBs) but picking up stunts and blitzes---he was surprisingly good.  Run blocking needs some work, but he is 25.  Corbett, in my view, should be G/C depth and if Mays steps back, he is there.  Mays should start because this team is building for the future and 30 year old players are not building blocks.  We shall see.  That is how I think about it, but there are many factors we do not know. Having said that, I like what Zavala is doing, and I do not want to bring in someone who would take opportunities away from him.  Zavala was really good at RG down the stretch, and in limited duty, was awesome. In fact, we have a guard from the PS who played briefly and did well, but he only played a few plays.  He is 25 and I recall that fans of his former team were upset when we signed him.   Maybe as the backup center only (Corbett).  You need 2 centers to run practices efficiently.  I cannot say enough about the OL coaches on this staff.  What they have done is overshadowed by the Lewis / Hunt signing.  Mays, Ekwonu, Zavala--impressive growth.
