2.Yes sacrificing another first round pick for Clausen would have been a mistake

We have no idea what exactly he was willing to trade to move up, so to say he was trying to trade next year's first round pick seems presumptuous. Don't you think another club would have jumped at the chance to land our first round pick for an earlier second rounder? Plus, if Clausen turns out well in the end... well, who knows.

Seems silly to damn him for something he didn't even do.

He gave up our first for everette brown and he was the 43rd pick in the draft, so to move up into the low 30's i'd assume it would at least cost a future first.

With that 2nd 2nd round pick, I have no idea who we would have gotten, so tough to say. If they ahd done well for us this year, and we didn't look on course for the #1 pick, then maybe I wouldn't have cared. If we still sucked I'd probably be pissed... So hypothetically, it depends qutie a bit.
