I don't know if Armanti would do better or worse than any of the other QBs we've had behind center this season, but it would be a more exciting offense to watch.

I love me some Armanti (no homo) but I think it would be a complete disaster to try and have him be an every-down QB in the NFL... it would be unfair to him.

I know he was a playmaker at App State, but this ain't the SoCon. To be an effective QB in the NFL he would have to learn how to read complex defenses, adjust protection schemes, make checks, etc... I'm not saying Armanti couldn't do this with enough time and coaching, but that's not something you teach someone to do in a few weeks.

By that logic I guess they were trying to get Wallace Wright and Jason Baker some snaps at QB too, since they were near his as and Clausen's.

Non-sense, we had Chris Weinke. 6 rushing TDs in his only season of play.
