at this point, I want us to win. I'm feeling kinda pessimistic about our chances, but I still want us to win.

I also want to see players progress. I want to see improvement from units and from individual players. I want to see Hardy rip someones head off - or at least, scare the crap out of me that he is going to. I want to see <insert whichever rookie starts> do well, because honestly, we need a consistent bright spot there. I don't care if they light it up, I just want to see someone work through things and show growth. I want to see our wide receivers actually catch balls because they actually run routes where there is time to throw to them. I want to see our running game find it's stride. But most of all, I want to see these players fight every game to the last whistle, regardless of outcome.

I've seen many stupid, ignorant threads in the years I've surfed panther forums, and nothing tops the stupid, pathetic, and ignorant list... than a fan hoping the team will stop fighting for wins for a draft slot.

Bottom line..if you have a team that lays down it's sword...you have more issues than the best player in the draft can fix.

The only reason I would hope we lose if we have a chance to take Andrew Luck he may be a guy that is with your team for 15 years and wins you a couple of Super bowls a guy you may be able to build your franchise around and I would gladly take a 1-15 year for that we need a franchise QB to win in todays NFL and guys we probably don't have that on our roster, but now we have 8 games to finds out if these guys can play a little and progress! I may be reaching but I think Luck will be very special!

I don't think anyone wants us to give up and lose on purpose, but it'd serve the team better if they kept losing just because they suck. We need another option for QB next season. Moore may be re-signed, but I highly doubt it and he's not the answer anyway. If you feel fine having Pike and Clausen compete for the starting job next season, more power to you, but I'm not that brave. Sure we could bring in a vet, but that's a temporary fix. There are two rock solid QBs that will be in the Draft. If they're there for the taking, we should go for it. Then you'd have a true competition for the future of this franchise and then could bring in the temp vet to mentor the boys.

But ending up with a middle of the pack pick, or anything past #5 won't get you the QB. I know people want to see us scrap and fight our way to 6-10, 7-9, etc. and see the few starting rookies we have show a spark, but it will mean next to nothing in the grand scheme of things. Truthfully they can actually show a spark while we suck, and next season is when it'll matter again anyway.

Funny enough no matter how hard it is watching some of the panther games - i still jump up and down everytime we have a drive or a firstdown. Rediculous i know but the worst thing we could do right now is continue loosing - Its bellichick like strategy - think about it.

If we get the first pick and somehow miraculously Clausen Pans out, we could always trade down the pick get a lower first round and maybe 2 third round picks.

poo happens - remember Carolina All round is a very very very good team.. for crying out loud our defense is being serviced by back ups and yet they are Kicking ass. Tell me that isnt something. Offense is a whole different thing. Not only do we get Otah back next season and with our cap space and the mess that Carolina was this Yr you bet jerry wont make that semi brilliant mistake again.

And damnit i cant wait for John Foxs next Press Conference

Oh come on at this point.. i would hate the panthers to win a couple of "Extra games" - Let the continue loosing - We get the first Pick. Get ANOTHER QUARTERback - have a battle tested Clausen as a backup. Yes a backup.

We already have a respectable defense - By the way thanks guys - Good job so far. Work our offensive line out.. welcome to the NFC south. Then i cant wait for next season.
