1. Overall, the good with Hurney outweighs the bad. Everyone is transfixed by the horrors of Everette Brown and Jake Delhomme, but I doubt we'll ever know the full story behind that. For all we know, there might be a reason Fox was kept out of drafting after the 2009 season. Hurney is also fantastic with contracts, something that can't be overlooked.

2. Most importantly, it sends a terrible message to any potential replacement. Here's a guy that just did what the owner instructed him to do, and on top of that has been paraded out in front of the media every week to be pilloried. The guy has no more swords to fall on, yet has become the defacto face of the franchise in lieu of the owner.

To fire him after all he's done (sacrificing his public and professional reputation for Jerry's vendetta) would basically tell every other potential GM that the owner will flush you down the drain the second it's convenient.

We're already going to have enough trouble finding a coach after the way Richardson has handcuffed Fox. Let's not make it a GM as well.

You can only name 2 things that Hurney has done wrong? How about getting a GM that has some balls and whose not a yes man.

1. Bringing in Keyshawn Johnson- MISTAKE

2. David Carr-MISTAKE

3. Dwayne Jarrett- MISTAKE

4. Jimmy Clausen/ Trade- MISTAKE

5. Armanti Edwards/ Trade- MISTAKE

6. Peppers gone- Best Player in FRANCHISE History- Mistake

7. Letting Muhsin Muhammad go- MISTAKE

I could go on if you'd like. To not put any of the blame except for the Delhomme and Brown debacle is ludacris. The guy has not had a good track record.

Man some of you are short sighted.

It's to be expected with fans who were in elementary school when Kevin Greene was fighting with Kevin Steele on the sidelines. They grew up with the Panthers after Fox brought them to respectability, and have neither patience nor perspective.

Hurney's a very good GM, and we're fortunate to have him.

And what's the deal with all the old posts getting bumped? Are people that bored?

It's all about what have you done for me lately. Nobody wants to live in the past 10 years ago when Kevin Greene played. His personnel moves in the past 5 years have been below average.

Save it. Memorize it. Facts.

We won't have any issues finding a HC if Richardson isn't cheap. he isn't Ralph Wilson that has went through more head coaches and GM's than Depends in the last 10 years.

Richardson is respected in the league, the stadium is nice, the fanbase is good (unless you stand to cheer then you are booted out), and they have a decent core to build around.

Hurney is an idiot. He hasn't gotten it done in Free agency in years, draft picks have been questionable, and he trades away future needed picks for half assed players.

Time for a change.
