Skinner will certainly be a big part of this team's success, but I think the key to making the playoffs will be if we can start to get more consistent defense in front of Cam. Playing solid defense can keep you in nearly any game you play.

I think that and Eric Cole playing the way he has been playing. Good lord that man just works so hard every time he has the puck. Even if he doesn't score he usually does a tremendous job of maintaining the puck in the offensive zone for time. Staal needs to be a good veteran as well, which it looks like we have been.

We have the talent to be a top 8 team in the East, but we just need to start achieving consistency.

I haven't gotten to watch but 2 games so far this season...

I've missed the last 3 or 4 games because of work....and I have to work for Thursday's game as well. I am getting excited though, Skinner and Staal are looking good so far with 15 points each.
