Truth is anyone who's closely followed any NFL team for as long as I've followed the Panthers could likely come up with a similar list for that organization.

One of the hallmarks of "Fan Think" is that the turf is always greener in the opposing stadium.

Totally agree with the point that this woulda, coulda, shouda hindsight applies to every team. It is rare indeed for a team to pick well all the time. And while you can complain about Clausen this year, you have to note that other guys who fell in the draft like Hardy, Gettis, and perhaps eventually Pike were also steals at this point. Time will tell. Seems to me that our record drafting particularly since 2006 have been pretty solid.

You get kudos for doing the research and bringing up the conversation in the first place.

Probably because of how fresh they are, the wounds that sting me the most are:

Brown and Edwards. Both are and were foolish picks. We are not a good team, and we cannot afford to take flyers on project players in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

Fox is gone, and I want Marty gone just as much.

True, but when we selcted Thomas Davis at 14 overall I think I almost put a hole in my TV with Rogers still on the board. Yes Delhomme was coming off a decent season statistically but we needed a QB of the future 5 years ago not in April....

As far as Clausen goes, IMO he has bust written all over him, but in all fairness that wont be know till next year.

I have a lot of faith in Armanti, if they play him at QB. Don't think that Montana could do great at receiving punts, or Namath at WR. Just play him where he is used to playing.

Do you realize what you just did there. Comparing Armanti fuging Edwards (a guy who hasn't played a single meaningful snap in the NFL) to NFL Hall of Famers. And people wonder why the majority of this board hates App Homers....
