Chris Harris Speaks On the Panthers and Coach Fox

After discussing other things today and remembering Dan Morgan's take on Coach Fox, this is an interesting contrast...

From his twitter, and he didn't seem to hold back...

http://twitter.com/ChrisHarrisNFL

@daringantt What happened to Matt Moore n Dan Conner

Yikes RT @daringantt: @ChrisHarrisNFL Matt tore R labrum when driven into ground yesterday. Connor has a cracked bone in hip.

Doubt it RT @SKIUMAH7 Given the truly pathetic state of the team can't see Fox pulling many offers. May have to go the coordinator route.

@davidmx9 He's a great coach n management didn't give him a chance by cuttin all of his veteran players.He didn't hand pick that team he has

@davidmx9 @daringantt Fox is a defensive coach so he doesn't call offensive plays n the def has been consistent for the most part

@davidmx9 @daringantt In my opinion I think head coaches take to much of the blame when things go wrong they aren't the ones playing

@davidmx9 @daringantt and some point players have to be held accountable. The coach isn't making one block,tackle,or attempting any pass

@davidmx9 once again what is it u want him to do? Catch a pass,or maybe make a tackle,or block for the RB's or better yet throw a TD pass?

@davidmx9 It doesn't matter who the coach was this year for them I think u would get the same results. If u cut half of ur team n replace them with rookies. How many games do u really expect to win

@davidmx9 Yes but if ur players aren't getting it done doesn't mean u aren't teaching. The ave age on the team is like 25. Basically rookies

@davidmx9 Yes. So u think the coaching staff is just sitting around not utilizing any of that. Its not the coaches fault if a pass is dropped

@davidmx9 its not a coaches fault if a pass is intercepted, its not a coaches fault if a tackle is missed. Its not a coaches fault if u miss

@davidmx9 a block. Its not the coaches fault if u get beat n man to man coverage. Its not the coaches fault if u fumble. I can keep going

@davidmx9 at end of day management wanted to save money n go cheaper as a result this is what u get. Don't blame Fox. He didn't do it

@davidmx9 yes it is. There have been a bad play call a misuse of clock a bad challenge..etc but he can't prevent a bad decision by a QB, a

@davidmx9 a missed block or a missed tackle or physically getting beat by the man across from u

@davidmx9 I'm a vanilla guy myself

@davidmx9 I would b too he's a great coach. I would play for him any day of the week (this in response to david saying he doesn't understand why people around the league are so high on him)

@davidmx9 Yes I'm still a Bobcats fan

Chris Harris is awesome. Glad to see he still keeps up with us, is a Bobcats fan, and good to hear his perspective on what's going on here.

Although I really don't know how the vets we let go affected us that badly. Perhaps setting an example is more important than we realize in the locker room.

How do we know that? How do we know that it wasn't Foxy himself? Just askin.

LOL, we don't but that would be an interesting set up and self-promotion by Foxy.

I think the guy's name is David Rojas, but I don't know what position he holds for Chris to go back and forth that long with him. Chris has always seemed like a humble and fairly accessible guy though, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's just a regular fan.

More:

@daringantt I beg to differ Jerry Richardson is the CEO n Fox is more like the COO or upper management.

@daringantt so therefore u have to address the CEO

And I'll add his twitter link in the original post, might be easier for everybody...

I follow Chris on Twitter. It is him.

Yeah and to backup Dimbee, and Chris, it's a verified account on Twitter, so Twitter knows it's him. He stays in touch with Darin and frequently tweets with him about how he's doing and what's going on here... Cool guy.

I still think fox is a dumbass. This season for the most part, wasn't on him. But hes made his share of eff ups as HC prior to this season.

I've called him a dumbass in the heat of the moment, but I think when not on a Sunday that we just played a game, I'd say he's an average to good coach. He's a great motivator and most players love him. It just may be possible that he wore out his welcome here regardless.

But, I definitely agree, I don't think this season had much to do with him at all and it actually makes me feel bad for him.

EDIT: And he does have his flaws, but I think I will miss him once he's gone for some reason.
