This team is not cheap

They wanted a youth movement because you cant have franchise players all over the place when your going to make a head coaching change which brings a new scheme and you want it to be an easy fix...So we bring in young players that havent made a statement yet, and wont cap the team to cut (johnson, Hardy, Brown, edwards, even CLAUSEN) if they don't fit the coaching transition. There all second round players making second round money, and we do have talent! A RUN game that can either be power or finness, a WR who is obviously in there future plans. Two good safeties. Williams, Stew, Gross, Otah, Beason, Davis, and Smith can all fit any scheme brought in next year. Fox Will NOT be fired this season because of the bond between the franchise and the coach. This was one last try that went wrong let him finsih out his contract, but we were excpecting it. Why in the hell would you go sign a premier pass rusher or trade for a player like Osi if you arnt even sure you'll be running a 4-3 next season? Or sign Moss? Why waste his time? Yes new head coach means new assistants. See ya meeks and davidson, and fox! This could be the quickest way to rebuild. you dont bring in vets like the lions have been doing for years they don't transition and you have to gut the roster every 2-3 years, and your stuck with players with big cap hits.

not exactly what I've heard sylvianlight.

He let Fox go after another job over the offseason. Reports say the bills offered him one even and he declined, as he was after something else. Fox decided to stick with the Panthers, and JR believed that Fox was a good coach and could get them through this year. I do believe JR is the kind of person that would honor his contract with Fox. Maybe I'm wrong. *shrugs*

If true then why would Fox be so frustrated and calling out the FO / Personell guys right now? He would just deal with it quietly knowing that he had a choice to leave but decided to stay with his wings clipped. Eitherway JR should have cut ticket prices and announced this was a throwaway year and versus screwing the fan base.

    • After the Chiefs game a 6'5 X would really help in the Red zone. I would also love to add Slayton in FA
    • But again, you can restock a defense through free agency much easier than offensive skill positions. Spend all our cap space on defense, take a true elite prospect who also happens to fit a position of need in T-Mac, and then use the rest of our picks on defense. Again, every season there’s a smattering of great DL, LB, and DB options in free agency, a Top 10 WR never hits free agency, ever.  The only way you get one is through the draft or giving up 1st round picks in a trade for one. If he’s there when we’re on the clock, he has to be the pick, he’s just that good.
    • It must be an early Christmas for JT O'Sullivan having Thielen back so he could put a coal in Thielen's stocking every chance he gets.  Honestly, the biggest surprise is not so much the anticipation. There were those moments here and there last year as well. It's that even that one positive quality he had seemingly vanished his first two games to where it looked like it was all but over, only for it to start coming back some until you get exclamation points all over this game film. And some of those throws were under a lot of duress, something I feel is something new. Finally, those deeper shots are starting to land. Not all of them, but enough that defenses may have to start respecting them. No guarantees whether this will end up as more of anomaly but I certainly hope it isn't. The Green Bay game was a sampler of what BY could be. Against KC, we got a meal. If we could start getting these meals regularly, we might actually have something to work with here.
