Trgovac Out

Read this on ESPN. It makes it sound like it was the front office that caused the defensive staff to leave and Fox was pissed about it.

that's been mentioned a couple of times, Its the main reason most of the staff left. If your a coach and the norm is a contract before the end of the season and you don't get one until a week and half after your season ends. You're going to be think about how much does this team want me and is this job stable. Looks like most said no.

Despite all this talk about a contract extension, fox being unhappy, blah, blah, blah, I think this was all very planned. I also know how this orginization runs things and I truly believe they told turgovac to start exploring his options. The Panthers have always been a classy, well run orginization and I think Fox likes Turg too much to get rid of him. He didnt want to throw him under the bus so instead gave him a chance to find a new job and "resign" from the position. This is just my opinion but all the defensive coaches "leaving" is not just coincidence and I truly belived Fox wanted to look out for the guys and help them find new teams.

I think you are probably correct.

Im sorry, but I'll have to say that this is big boy football. If your not performing as a OC or DC, Fox needs to have the balls to do whats in the best intrest of the team. If this is how they handle things, because they dont want to hurt someones feelings, they dont belong in the league.

I believe the Panthers have major problems now, and I think it starts with who in the hell is running the show. I believe thier have been issues on the defensive side of the ball going back to Jenks. This is the NFL, you find ways to make it work. When a guy says he doesnt want to play somewhere, something is frickin WRONG! It boils down to one thing...leadership..the end. As a Ravens fan, I know one thing for sure every year, our defense will plays its ass off, and its because no one will half step with #52 running the show. I just dont see any signs of leadership on that whole team. Who is your man on defense? Beason maybe? If so, he needs to step up even more, just my opinion.

yeah, its Beason, and this was his first year as "leader". His respect among the defense will grow during the off season and into next season. IMHO.
