That has been my gut feeling. M. Richardson is doing everything he can to keep Pep here. Pep sells tickets.

So do 34, 28, 52, 43, and 89. And all those have wow'd us more as of late.

If it is, it may be ill informed decisions... I think it was Yas' blog the other day that said Trgo and Pep were actually cool with each other. It basically said they considered each other friends and that Trgo wasn't the coach he had a problem with. I think that means Fox is the only one he has a problem with and the only one he truly feels is holding him back because he has his fingerprints on everything.

That being said, its funny that Fox's quote was something along the lines of "we haven't held any players back."

I don't know if Turdo is gone in an effort to keep Pep. All of this is very strange though. I mean we did go 12-4 and even if we did have some problems on the defensive side of the ball, it is very strange to have all of these defensive coaches leaving a week or two after Pep announces that he is no longer interested in playing here.

My gut feeling is that Pep is gone no matter what so I'm not sure what good it would do to get rid of almost all of the defensive coaches. Unless Pep himself has stated to someone higher up in the organization that the main reason he is going is because of the coaches.

It's all very strange but I am all for remaking the defensive staff at this point with or without Pep.

This makes it infinitely more possible that Trgo's "change of mind" was not entirely his own. Also taking a "demotion" says that he had serious doubts any other team would consider him for a DC or head coaching position. That's my take on it anyway...

agreed I've thought that the whole time. Peppers isn't coming back unless Fox isn't here, and I just don't expect that to happen, even with everyone jumping ship for some reason.

there are rumors insisting that GB does want peppers, but most teams are looking at him as a reggie white type of FA and have him ranked above suggs. Scout inc doesn't but the word is that peppers is worth more then we original thought. It's possible despite him being 29 that he could garner us 3-5 good draft picks.

I think it's more likely that Peppers just wants to play outside of NC, and to try his luck in a 3-4 defense. I have no reason to believe he's lying when he says that he has no problem with anybody on the coaching staff. I would think that if he had a real problem with Fox or Trgo, it would have come out a long time ago.
