Why did so many people go to the game?

Fans can watch the game from home. I don't see any point in spending money to sit out in the cold and watch a crappy product from JR.

I'm happy with 8-8 seasons most of the time. Fans here are really easy to please. We don't get big free agents. All we ask for are decent draft picks and 6-9 wins and instead we get Jimmy Clausen and 1 win.

You guys consider yourselves more worthy as fans. You're actually just mindless fans. JR loves you and all the other zombies who continue to invade BoA to watch team x embarrass us.

I guess it just depends on if you can have a good time watching terrible football. I went to the Panthers Cardinals playoff game and I can tell you I didn't have a good time. Sitting between Cardinals fans and wine and cheese fans was abysmal.

Judging from my television, at times early in the game the stadium seemed to have a decent number of folks in it. Especially considering a 1 win team was playing in cold weather.

I'm sorry guys but this is the wrong approach. Please do us all a favor and stop going to the game. This is like people complaining about Modern Warfare 2 then you go online and it has the most players of any game ever online. Who will listen to complains if they don't feel threatened by their consumers?

If you want to see Jimmy Clausen checking down and throwing the ball away next year, go to the game. If you want a better product on the field, do us all a favor and stay home.

Sounds like you are recommending that we act like bandwagon fans. IMO, a true fan comes in good and bad time. I don't plan to break my consecutive game streak just to make a statement...

Don't game to the games? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. For crying out loud... we aren't New York City! It's like every owner is ling up to move their club to Charlotte, NC and we can play hardball with ownership.

We should be lucky that Richardson even wanted to bring a team to Charlotte and that the NFL awarded us a franchise. The last thing we need to do is shut down our support the second the team struggles. Be happy about all the winning years we've had and realize that being a fan is going through thick and thin!

Heck, if Buffalo fans show you anything... it's to appreciate the little things, like having a pro football team! Even LA would love to be in our shoes.

For everyone out there that will only support a team that is playing "good football", just wait a few games into the season then pick a team that is undefeated and cheer for them. However, if you are a Panther fan, support the team whether they are good or bad. We can't be good every year that's just the reality. With 16 teams in the Conference, one could only expect the team to make the Super Bowl 1 out of every 16 years. We're on pace. It's understandable to want more, just not necessarily realistic.

As I said ... be gone. Nobody's gonna miss you.

If it wasn't for PSL owners, you wouldn't be able to watch any home game on TV because they would be blacked out. In fact, you wouldn't even have a team in Charlotte to bitch and complain about. But by all means, continue to take the mindset of the spoiled child who stomps his feet and cries when he doesn't get his way - you're really on the right track to show your parents (Jerry Richardson) who's boss.

I've got to admit that I was surprised by the OP. As an original Saints fan I could not fathom not going to any home game if possible, regardless of record. That is the mindset of the Saints fan. But, after reading the responses I see that there are many (mostly) devoted Panthers' fans on this board that agree with our take. We are not so unalike.

Saints fans have packed the Dome for years, win or lose. Take 1981 and the Aints' bags for example. We were coming off a 1-15 year and were looking at one nearly as bad, but the fans still showed up, albeit some with the bags on the heads in protest.

You should show your disgust if you aren't satisfied with how things are being run, but a true fan never stops supporting the team.

Check the attendance numbers at the dome from like 1989 - 1999. There were some pathetic attendance numbers in there for years.

I vehemently disagree with the OP.
