Moore and Connor done for the year

How is that any worse than all the Clausen trolls like you making up 100s of excuses for why he sucks every game from here on out. What about all the Edwards trolls who will begin to talk about why Edwards should start. I bet we can get a few Pike trolls as well.

There should be plenty of folks to criticize Clausen's play moving forward. And I expect all the Clausen apologists to keep up the rookie excuse. One thing to note, before the end of this season Clausen will have started more games than Moore did coming into the season. Then I wonder what the excuse will be since you and others were so negative about Moore.

As for me I don't really need to say anything about Clausen. Everything I have said about him is coming true just like it has about the season, the veterans, lack of depth and backups if we have injuries etc.

Lol u dont get it do you. I am not a fan of clausen as a player, I am a fan of the idea of a franchise qb. I want an aaron rodgers, an eli manning, a joe flacco. I dont give a crap about garbage career backup practice squad scrubs running this franchise, if clausen doesnt pan out, I will make a new sn with luck or locker or whoever turns out to be our next good qb. If you like garbage mediocrity the bills are in need of fans. Glad that there is no Moore to talk about.

Seriously. You name yourself Clawsome and try to convince me you aren't a fan of Clausen as a Player????

You are ridiculous if you expect any of us to buy your garbage. You have been sucking on Clausen's nuts all season. Given he has a long contract he will be here and so will you as annoying as ever.

Actually it is posters like me that were a fan of the team before Moore, Delhomme, Weinke and even Beuerlein. I was there at the first game we played in Death Valley when Frank Reich started for us and for every quarterback in between. And I will be a fan after Clausen and Moore are long gone I expect.

Problem for me is that so far if you hitched your wagon to Clausen as a franchise quarterback, you hitched it to the wrong horse. I am willing to give him some more time but there is not even a glimmer of franchise quarterback with Clausen right now. Time will tell though, and unlike folks like you I can wait to see what happens. I will be here for good or bad.

Yup like clausen to turn out to be next phillip rivers I wish, I hope. If it doesnt happen I will glady not cling on and pretend a career backup scrub can compete with real teams. Next one up.

And we just have to put up with your crap every week for 3 or 4 years until he moves on right?? Sorry but that is a really unappealing prospect right now.

Basically, 31 other teams passed on Claussen before we jumped. The Bills, Browns, Raiders, 49ers, Jaguars, Cardinals and other bottom feeders said, "Umm, no thanks, we have more pressing needs."

But we took a flyer on him. And we played him. Had a team with a great pair of running backs, had a great WR, what had been a pretty good O-line, a defense that could get him the ball back, a trio of reasonable tight ends, and a veteran kicker that can reliably put a 3 on the scoreboard when your drive stalls -- if you can get him within 53 yards of the goal post.

And the kid can't do it. Maybe he came out of college too early. Maybe he has bad QB coaching here (and I can agree heartily with that). Maybe, just maybe, he's always been the golden boy from junior high all the way through college and his annointment has prevented him from developing the character needed to be able to dig down deep and find what it takes to be a winner.

Really, do you think Colt McCoy was going into this season with a better team around him? Or Bradford?

Claussen needs to sit on the bench, third chair, and hold a clipboard in hopes that he finds what it took for Kurt Warner or Jake Delhomme had -- the strength to keep fighting for a shot at becoming an NFL quarterback and then to win when they had the chance. Without it, you sit on the bench with Ryan Leaf.

Matt Moore... sorry, buddy. Hate you got hurt, you shined last year off the bench, but this was bigger than you could handle. Tony Pike ... good luck buddy, you're gonna get a shot and right now, if you can keep from screaming like a little girl when the protection breaks down, you'll be ahead of the game. Armanti... study the QB's playbook, you may get a chance before it is all said and done.

What a team appears to be in the offseason is not always what it ends up being when it's fielded.

Say what you want about expectations, but this team has blown at every aspect of the game... Any surprise that the quarterback does, too?

Clausen looks between mediocre and godawful. I hope he improves, but mediocre isn't enough for a franchise quarterback. Unless he REALLY shows us something, next year I think we're going to have to address not just "veteran leadership" at QB, but a legit starter.
