Haha did you just say the Wac bigger than the big east? I guess arguments can be made for the Mountain west but the Wac? lol thats a joke. Boise State is the only good team in the Wac and if they were in an actual conference they wouldn't go undefeated every year.

You know that everyone faced worse competition compared to Matt Moore...

I forgot everyone here only pays attention to East Coast football. WAC would destroy the Big East.

How did Tony do against a real college team? What's that? Got shutout until they put in backups? Are you serious? Sheesh.

LPF, this isn't about Moore, but since you brought it up. Yes the Pac10 is better than FCS, Independent, and Big East

Matt Moore faced good competition, Clausen faced the best, and Pike is descent. Pike really is a project kid and should not be playing. He doesnt have a very strong arm and isnt a very accurate passer. The only positives with him is he is tall and somewhat mobile. In college he played in a spread offense and only had to make typical throws of 5-10 yards. Just think Clausen should be given more chances based on how poor our line is playing. The problem really isnt with our QB's as much as it is our O-Line

watch a colt/Bradford game you will see a lot of short passes and a run game..

Do you see that here?

Yep, it's called smart offensive coaching, protecting young QBs.

We have lineman who can't block; runners who can't run; receivers who can't catch; and QBs who can't throw.

Makes you wonder, just what in the hell went on during OTAs, Training camp, and practice every week.

The reincarnation of John Unitas could not help this team.

...wait, Unitas called his own plays....I take it back, he could help this team.

i've watched a lot of football in my life (as you all have) and i've never seen a worse, "NFL" quarterback than Clausen.

I'm getting behind our QB of the future right now! That'd be Andrew Luck, because dont kid yourself, the Panthers wont win another game. The Buttfloe Bills look much more competitive and will almost assuredly win one game.

Um, I live out west and watch pretty much all west coast football actually. The Wac would get pummeled by the big east. And that was one game against a tremendous Florida team. Do you really think that anyone would have beat Florida in The Golden Calf of Bristol's final game as a gator?

I live out West as well.

I'm not saying he has to beat them but at least get the ball in FG range. Seriously, all I'm asking for was a FG before Florida called off the dogs. He ran a gimmick offense just like Brennan, Chang, the guy from Missouri who has a cinderblock for a head (name escapes me), Graham Herrell, the QBs at Houston.

How can your backup QB step in and play just as well as you and you not be considered a system QB?

The problem with Clausen is that he locks on to his receivers and his delivery takes longer than a standardized USPS package.

And his release point is very low.

The locking on to receivers doesn't bother me that much, that is something that can be fixed. The delivery problems will be more difficult. Adjusting someone's throwing motion that they have used since high school is very difficult.

As far as how Pike's team performed against college competition, I don't give a crap. Joe Flacco played against subpar competition and it didn't seem to hurt him. And Jamarcus Russel played in the SEC and still has failed as an NFL QB.

At this point Pike and Clausen are at very least equal, and Pike might be ahead simply because he is largely unknown while Clausen has yet to prove he can complete a 15 yard pass over the middle.

Listen, i'm not saying I want Pike to play. Someone made an idiotic statement earlier that Pike was a bum in college and I simply stated he was a really good college Qb. As was brennan, chang, the guy from Mizzou and Graham Herrell. Do I think they are NFL caliber qb's? no. Were they great in college? Yes. That is all

Fair enough. Chase Daniels was his name, just came to me. Seriously doesn't that guy look like he has the squarest head?

Good point.

And to repeat....at the most I think next year only 1 of these QB's will be on the roster. (And not likely as the "1") Time to let these guys audition for the next HC.
