A comment by (I Think) Chris Collinsworth relating to not firing a coach of a very bad team midseason (in this case, Dallas) is this: "You send a message by doing nothing, too... that we're okay."

I think it relates to our team, too. A lot of posters have said it rarely helps. No, it probably wouldn't, but it does send a message.

So here's a question: Should the Panthers do it? I know they won't, so let's not worry about that. JR isn't going to can Fox midseason. But SHOULD he?

Well, in this case, I don't it'll matter since everyone knows that Fox is unofficially fired right now anyway. The message has already been made.

Maybe we should dump Fox and let either Davidson or Meeks run the show. We could at least see if one of them are competent. Without Fox pulling strings we may see they are both competent without Fox, who knows. What do we have to lose?

Henning did that when he was here too. He got fired, but interestingly enough, we're still doing it.

That's not an endorsement for Davidson, by any means. He did do ok his first couple of games after coming here. But he may well be ruined by Fox-ology by now.
