On the 50 or On Their Side of the Field, Go All 4 Downs

Just watching Kasay miss that FG made me wonder why we don't go all 4 downs to either get a first down or a TD. For instance, instead of taking that shot on 3rd down to the end zone, why not run it or throw a pass to the flats and pick up some yards and then go for the 1st down?

Nothing against Kasay, he's been great this year, but to me, a FG is almost like a momentum killer now. We get down there and the drives just die. It gives fans no hope for whats to come when we see __ and Goal. Because we know we're gonna do some stupid sh*t and end up kicking a FG.

I understand take the points, but what's the point now? We really have nothing to lose.
