Random thought that has nothing to do with anything

One preseason game sounds reasonable. Might get some opposition though because there are only two home preseason games. That would mean only one preseason game played at their home stadium.

(yeah it sounds silly given that they get all the regular games, but you can pretty much bet someone would oppose it on those grounds)

theyre lucky enough for it to be called carolina panthers rather than charlotte

I frequently hear people on sirius saying Charlotte or North Carolina Panthers.

Charlotte is the best location. It's in the middle of everything, and it's a thriving city.

Jerry Richarson went to college at wofford, and we played our first inagural season at Clemson

When I'm not at school i live very close to charlotte so it doesn't really matter if you're on the border

I think it's harder for the low country people, I don't think they feel a strong attachment

But it's just better for everybody to have the stadium in charlotte, it's the biggest city out of both states and one of the most central locations between both states

and it's not that hard for a south carolinian to drive 4 hours and pay for some tickets

Charlotte is the perfect place for the team. They don't need games in SC. There are still too many Falcon fans in the southern parts of the state. There are a lot of Dallas fans too. It's not like Charlotte is really that long of a drive for most people in SC. This is coming from someone who lives in SC.

If I remember, USC had the opportunity to host the inaugural season, but ditched the effort. I think that chance was enough for mid-SC fans.

To be honest, I don't see much support for the Panthers outside of lower NC/upper SC, so to hold a game anywhere other than Charlotte wouldn't make much sense for ticket sales or the like.
