Help from the photography/picture editing buffs

Everytime I take a picture with one of my dogs in it on my iPhone, the flash makes their eyes look really bright/crazy. Its like a reflection of the flash in their eyes and it's very distracting.

Any program that can get rid of this or any editing that can make it look like normal again?

He looks like a wolf sometimes and it's scary at night if he is in the yard and all I can see is the glare in his eyes.

my male shepherd is like that too...and he's fricken big...so it's a scary site to see!!!

I think mine has a lot of Shepherd in him. I don't really know though he is a mut and a rescue. I have two rescues and no doubt about it they are the best dogs to own, they are so thankful and loving its insane.

I think it has more to do with the "flash" more than anything. I thought iPhone didn't have the flash and droid did. Me so confused.
