Movies wise, City of God is one of the greatest of the 21st century, and I see that it's on Netflix now. A must watch for everyone.

Aside from City of God, The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete is a fantastic movie and Snow On Tha Bluff is a hyper-realistic gangster flick that is not for everyone, but very eye opening to what that street life is really like.

All very good urban social commentaries with intriguing geopolitical messages.

Also, for anyone who hasn't checked out The Inbetweeners yet, they're easy eps/seasons to get through and it is by far the funniest TV show ever in my opinion. The humor is really touchy and over the top with certain things, and it's definitely not for everyone. But damn is that a great TV show.

There's also a show called The 100 that is surprisingly really addicting. Acting isn't great, the writing/dialogue is mediocre at best, but damn is that an interesting premise that is carried out in a very entertaining manner.

Just watched the documentary "Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon" and found it fascinating. Unreal how many stories the guy has.

Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon is a 2013 American documentary film about talent manager Shep Gordon, produced and directed by Mike Myers in his directorial debut.[2] The film is the account of Gordon's career and his clients such as Alice CooperBlondieTeddy Pendergrass, andPink Floyd. The film also addresses Gordon's personal life and his interest in cooking, producing films, and his Buddhist beliefs.

Kagemusha - The only Akira Kurosawa film currently on Netflix. It's a story of a common thief who is hired to serve as the body double for a feudal Daimyo, and has to take over permanently when the Daimyo is killed in battle to keep up the illusion that he is alive. It won the Palm D'or at Cannes, and every shot is as close to art as you will ever see in cinema.

Watch it immediately if not sooner

I would also recommend the documentary about Hunter S. Thompson. Gonzo, narrated by Johnny Depp.

It's certainly out there at times, but considering who it is about, that's expected.
