I'm not up to scale on the financial ins and outs of the drug world, I'm afraid. Never was my vice of choice. You could tell me it costs $1000 per hit and I'd just have to believe you lol.

But Jesus Cristo, think of the tax revenue on that. Even if we just go with their (apparently low) mark of $20 million in street value. With San Diego's sales tax at 8.75%, that would be $1.75 million in taxes. If we go with your mark of $300 an ounce, thats $240 million in value for all 25 tons, with a sales tax revenue of $21 million. So we'll meet in the middle and say that this could have been turned into a $10 million revenue source for a dying state economy if it had been legalized. Way to go, California.

It wasn't the first tunnel they have ever found and I'm sure it's not the only one in operation.

Tunnels have been used for years to move drugs, money, guns, whores, grape pickers and gawd knows what.
