Rodney Stuckey Available?

Should we go after him... I recall seeing a headline on RealGM last week stating that the Pistons weren't going to re-sign him. Now, I read a story on Hoopshype today that said the Pistons coach tried to call him over to the sidelines during a play stoppage twice and Stuckey never even looked at him. So the coach called him again, and still no response.

So, the Pistons coach benched him for the rest of the game, I think it was for the last 20 minutes of the game. They asked Stuckey about it afterwards and he said (you'll love this), "it is what it is."

I have a feeling these events combined with the emergence of Will Bynum last year and the Pistons 0-5 start, has to make Stuckey available through trade.

Livingston was a horrible signing so far, and I see no evidence of the guy that was starting to look like a player again last season. Maybe he's out of shape, but who knows, I don't feel like waiting.

I feel like we need two strong options at PG. DJ has played better, but then he has a fairly bad game, so consistency is an issue. If he's not having a good game, like last night, wouldn't it be nice to have a guy like Stuckey come in and pick up the slack on those bad nights? Stuckey can also play as an off guard. What do you guys think? Who would you trade for him?

Things are going from bad to worse to downright ugly with the Detroit Pistons. One day after coach John Kuester called out the team for a lack of leadership it was Kuester who was twice ignored when he called for Rodney Stuckey to re-enter the game.

...

Tayshaun Prince pointed the finger right back at Kuester, saying: "He's right, but at the same time it goes both ways. We can sit here and continue to get on each other and be vocal, but like I said, the right thing has got to come from him as well as us."

Prince then added that, "Obviously, we're 0-4 so it ain't just the team."

Last night, Stuckey refused to go back into the game twice in the third quarter and sat out the last 21 minutes while finishing with five points and three assists in 13 minutes. Stuckey's only comment, according to the Detroit Free Press, was, "It is what it is."

Stuckey would be a good pickup. Shoot, since Stuckey and Prince seem to be upset with the Pistons, it would be great if both of them came down to Charlotte.

Stuckey would bring a consistent 15 ppg, and with DJ, you never know what your going to get. You might get 18+ one night, and then a 5pt 3ast game from him another. He isnt consistent enough. Prince would also add some much needed consistency as well.
