Has anyone heard anything on Davis return? I know that he was trying to come back this month. But does the signing of Jason Williams means that he's not going to make it back in time. Cause I'd really like to see this:

Why would THomas Davis risk coming out and causing further injury in a year that basically has been thrown in the shitter to begin with?

Smart thing for him to do is sit out until the next season whenever that is and be fully healed and ready to go.

I agree. There is no new for him to come back. He comes back for a meaningless season and end up being hurt would be a silly thing to do. He should just focus on conditioning and getting that knee back together. I had a knee injury a few year ago (patellar tendon). Knee injuries are tricky and should be watched carefully. I am still feeling the effects well I'm sure having top trainers help him more than me lol..but yeh..sit out the rest of the season.

If he comes back out and gets injured once more his career is in jeopardy. I think it might be wise for them to be a little more cautious this time.

Of course he is coming back and it is all about the money. Right now he is damaged goods and he won't get a big contract here or elsewhere. If he can come back and show he can play like he did before the surgeries, his stock goes way up here and elsewhere.

How the Panthers are doing right now won't factor into his decision much at all.

b/c if he doesn't play this year.....he might end up playing for chump change. He can go out and prove he is still the same player these last few games. I think Carolina owes him that. Remember he was one of those guys who got screwed and had to wait another year.

That chump change is hell a lot more than I made this year. Yeah but don't risk anything. If I'm not mistaken, he tried to come back early which is the reason why he is in the state he is in now. So let it be.

Athletes all believe that they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof. So yeah he will come back as soon as he can. guys who are cautious and worry about their health or getting hurt, don't play professional football.

They know the window to make money is small and with there no guarantee about football at all next year will want a big contract before the lockout, not in a year or two.

I hear all of you guys ideas. He could reinjure himself by coming back to soon again or he could come out and have a steller remaining season and increase his value. But hopefully his value with us (Panthers) is already set. Davis is great at LOLB in our scheme and I think that his love for the game and desire and competitiveness will bring him back.
