1) Jimmy Clausen has a stronger arm than Matt Moore. Moore certainly throws harder than Pike.

2) Sure, Moore has started 2 more games in his career than Thigpen but in Thigpen's full season as a starter he amassed 2600+ yards, 18 TD and 12 INT plus over 300 rushing yards. The ability to get out of the pocket with our present line situation is a major plus.

You make some very good points but no way does Clausen have a stronger arm than Moore.

I feel that the inability to throw a consistent deep ball is a major weakness of Clausen.Just saying.......

Look man, just this once can you please admit that when someone gives you any form of evidence that Jimmy Clausen made a good play, please admit that you knowingly ignore it, or say that it's "just one example." He doesn't have a lot of examples because he hasn't played much. We all see your bias for Matt Moore, it isn't like I'm the first and only person to point it out. I gave my take on why he probably won't be back but you were just fixated on why he could be. Imagine a world where Matt Moore isn't a Panther. Will you continue to be a fan? I wonder.

He was repped as having more accuracy but I'm not too sure anymore. He's missed a lot of open guys underneath. I just don't know about him. We were promised a lot and have seen very little in very little time. Even in his best game he wasn't very accurate.

That means I don't think you can say he has a strong arm or a weak arm based on 2-3 throws. You were claiming you KNEW he had a stronger arm than Moore based on his "distance" throws.

He didn't underthrow Stewart, he put it on the money as he was running.

Mav while I agree that was a great throw, 40 yards hardly shows that his arm strength is superior when it comes to distance throwing, which is what LPF was arguing. Any chump sitting on their couch can go out there and huck it 40 yards. Accuracy was supposed to be his strong point with the deep ball as his weak link.

Seems to be some credit there for a great throw.

Watch it again, he hits him in stride. From the moment he sees Stewart downfield, he throws it to him in a spot where no defender could get it if there was one there. Hitting him in the numbers, I might add.

Maybe you need to watch it again.

You can't really say that is in stride. Stew is literally facing the line of scrimmage.

I'm trying to be very objective in this but you have to admit he stopped, that's all.

I never said we could place it accurately which is where I gave Clausen credit. Please re read. I also said arguing for a 44 yard pass isn't a great argument for superior arm strength, but rather for accuracy.

Admitting Clausen threw a very nice, accurate 44 yard pass.
