KG worst person in the NBA?

I don't think I've ever hated an NBA Player more then I hate KG.

Biggest douche in the league and probably the biggest pussy.

And on a much larger note, How the fug is Charlie a cancer to the league?

The guy works with the NAAF for his disease

He has won these two awards:

Feb 2006 – NBA Cares Community Assist Award

Aug 2008 – NBA Cares Community Assist Award

He was a douche in High School. Always talked trash and the refs always gave him calls. He also stole poo out of people's lockers, did what ever he wanted to, and obviously never gave two poos about class.

They never could get past us in the playoffs though...bitch.

What?!

Mauldin HS could never beat Byrnes. A Ray Allen led Hillcrest-Dazell could though.

Yeah, my uncle lives in Greenville, not too far IIRC from Ray Allen's H.S., and he used to ref high school games there. I asked him about KG not too long after he made it to the league and he didn't seem impressed with him.

He may have mentioned the fight as well... I thought he was just old school and 'hating' on him.

Like I said, the more I've watched him over the years and matured myself, I can't stand him. Once you see through the hype, it's easy to see what a douchebag he is.

And for anyone that ever saw his Sportscentury, it's laughable. I heard rumors before about him being a bully since day one and doing some f'ed up stuff (as you mentioned stuff he did in locker rooms)... IIRC in his Sportscentury profile they blamed the fight that got him kicked out of Mauldin and S.C. on a 'racial' issue.

No offense, but when I was younger I bought that b/c my experiences in SC tell me that is very likely to happen in certain parts. But, taking into account all that I've seen and heard from him over the years since he's been in the league, I find the racial war excuse as one of the least likely causes of the fight.

He has a long standing history of bullying douchebaggery... I'm almost 100% sure he said this to Charlie V., which just drives home the point even more. What has Charlie ever done to be 'cancerous'? Work with kids? Been a fairly quiet guy (outside of twitter)? Performed below contractual expectations? I didn't know that was 'cancerous.'

KG better hope and pray to God that he never develops anything like cancer, because I doubt there would be much sympathy for him.

Full disclosure, SC always played the Upstate (W or NW of Columbia) vs the lower part of the State (E or SE of Columbia) for championships.

Mauldin, where Garnett played, is in Greenville Co. They were in our division and had to play us every year in the regular season and the playoffs (for the Upstate). They had KG and one other tall guy that just was tall and slightly athletic, but bracket coverage always kept Garnett in check. They never could make it past.

Ray Allen was at Hillcrest Dalzell just slightly east of Columbia. Took the game completely in his hands and shot the lights out at the state championship. (1993) Amazing player.

Shot with one hand back then too.

Yeah, he's really a puss and usually picks on people he doesn't think can retaliate...

Here's an older article I found when trying to find that actual video of Peeler punking his ass with that elbow to the jaw lol... Further proof of what a dick he is:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2004/news/story?id=1804051

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Garnett apologized Tuesday for making references to guns and saying he was "ready for war" in Game 7 between Minnesota and Sacramento.

"Sincerely, I apologize for my comments earlier," the Timberwolves forward told reporters after practice. "I didn't mean to offend anybody."

The Wolves and Kings play Wednesday night in Minneapolis for the right to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals. On Monday, the league's Most Valuable Player was asked about the magnitude of a game that will decide a series marked by trash talking and hard fouls.

"This is it," he responded. "It's for all the marbles. I'm sitting in the house loading up the pump, I'm loading up the Uzis, I've got a couple of M-16s, couple of nines, couple of joints with some silencers on them, couple of grenades, got a missile launcher. I'm ready for war."

...

In Sacramento, Kings coach Rick Adelman said he told his players to worry about themselves and not about Garnett's comments.

"I'm more worried about what he's going to do out there without any ammunition," Adelman said.

Nevertheless, center Brad Miller -- who's sparred with Garnett at times this series -- poked a little fun.

"I'm bringing my shotgun, my bow and arrow, my four-wheel drive truck and four wheelers and run over him," Miller said Tuesday. "It's going to be the ultimate battle. He's a warrior, and that's how I like to play when I step between the lines."

Garnett has been at the center of controversy a few times this postseason. In the first round against Denver, Nuggets forward Francisco Elson called Garnett "gay" for hitting him in the groin during a game.

The comments drew the ire of some gay and lesbian groups and Elson issued an apology through the team.

In Game 6 against the Kings, Garnett got into a physical confrontation with Sacramento guard Anthony Peeler. After taking an elbow to the midsection from Peeler in the third quarter, Garnett retaliated by throwing his shoulder and elbow into Peeler's chest.

Peeler, a friend and former teammate of Garnett's, responded by elbowing Garnett in the face. The NBA suspended Peeler for two games Monday and fined Garnett $7,500.

So far every NBA player I've seen speak on this is on Garnets side. They all say they have heard and said much worse on the court. What is said on the court stays on the court. Charlie should have never brought this public or taken it so seriously. Its all to throw his game off and get him worked up. It seems to have worked. Even Jon Barry laughed at Charlie and said to man up.

I could give a poo who is on whose side. Garnett is a punk. I can't stand him, have never liked him because his attitude sucks, and he whines and starts junk all the time - it's old and played out, and so is he.

I was lucky enough to be sitting courtside for this gem back in the day - still my favorite dunk.

I agree with the opinion that KG is a punk, and a whiny one at that. Last night during the Celts and Bucks game KG threw an elbow towards Bogut's face after he was contested on a dunk. After Bogut gave KG a shove Garnett whined like a little girl and threw a temper tantrum....

    • This was a good breakdown from Daniels.  Last year has had a lasting impact on Young. He still isn't getting the time needed from the OL - the OL we have is made to establish the run and for the run to be in play.  We get behind and have to throw all game we are doomed with this O-line. His receivers have to catch the ball when he makes a good throw to them, he can't have them dropping his good passes. Why are we running 4 slants all toward the same direction?  Why a triple option on 4th and 1? That's on the coaches. Bryce gets hurried and starts slinging the ball where it shouldn't be thrown, more study and recognition from him are needed.  Bryce doesn't step up in the pocket and throws too soon and unbalanced.  He over and under throws the ball because of it.  That's on him.  If the pocket isn't there and he can't get his base set he needs to check down or "live to fight another day." He has been thrown to the wolves and has lost his confidence.  This team doesn't have much, if any, talent and it's a cluster.  I think he can still be an NFL QB.  Maybe not a QB1 in the short term, but if he has a chance with better coaching and personnel he may be better than we are giving him credit for. I think we ruined him last year and have not fixed anything to help him this year.  If we can't run or get way behind all NFL defenses are coming after him.  Dalton has more respect and defenses didn't always sell out to get to him because he'd hit a quick slant, screen, or check down because he has the experience to know what's coming and what to do. Just my 2 cents.
    • All depends on who the backup is. Josh Allen probably would have been benched too if there were better backups than Matt Barkley and Nate peterman.
    • Where did I once say we should draft him because he's a projected Top 5 pick?   That's one of my many problems with you, your reading comprehension skills are very poor (and/or you just don't care to use your brain, one of the two).  I solely used that to point out that me pushing T-Mac isn't some absurd homerism, that at least I'm pushing someone who is deserving of a Top 5 draft pick. And despite me explaining it to you numerous times, you still seem to not grasp how QB's get placed in mock drafts vs draft grades.  They are treated entirely different in mock drafts to any other position, because of how teams generally treat them in the draft because of how important the position is. Literally any other position except QB, mock drafts generally follow draft grades with some team needs factored in.  But with QB's, draft grades are generally disregarded and they ALWAYS put a few QB's at the very top of the draft, because that's just usually what happens.  The exact same thing happened in 2022 with guys like Pickett and Willis widely being Top 10 picks in mock drafts, only for Pickett to fall to what, around 20?, and Willis going in the 2nd round (and even being the 3rd QB if I remember correctly too). The overwhelming majority of draft experts are saying there isn't a high first round grade on these QB's, but they still get mocked there because they're trying to predict how the draft will actually go. That's been my point the entire time, reaching for a QB in a bad QB draft when you have a roster as depleted of talent as ours, does not tend to work out well. And I've never said I'm not open to other players, I've very explicitly said that if a QB or DE stands out come draft time, I'm open to that discussion.  That I'd be open to Hunter as a CB but I prefer a WR over a CB at the top of the draft.  But we're also not talking about the 15th pick here where there could realistically be all sorts of possible picks to discuss.  With the first pick, there really would only be a small handful of options, T-Mac is head and shoulders above any other given our current roster and state of the franchise in general.
