Randy Moss released for being Steve Smith

Also I see nothing wrong with Moss complaining about food or suggesting the coach should be fired.

People complain about Moss, is he the only person in this world who is allowed to be criticized? If a guy can't cook and you're having to eat the crap he should complain. Also I never liked Childress as a coach and it's blatantly obvious that team is underachieving. They have way too much talent.

People are too used to denying the truth and pretending nothing is wrong. Moss is coming from a top organization and he's pointing it obvious flaws.

Other teammates were fine with the food and told Moss to STFU.

Moss put a high school classmate in the hospital by beating and kicking him while two buddies held him down. Nothing happened to him because the athletic program protected him.

This is the kind of thing that I absolutely hate about our society today, that we put more of a premium on someone's talent than we do their character.

Being a good football player shouldn't give anyone free pass to be a dick and not suffer consequences.

Thank you, Mr. Scot. At least someone understands.

I love me some Smitty because of the way he performs on the field. I leave it to the Panthers to decide if he continues to be there. As long as he is, I'll enjoy the passion he brings on Sundays and his willingness to risk everything.

Damn, wish I was watching Smitty play right now.

How do you feel about Rae Carruth? At what point does the person behind the athlete matter?

I wanted my Rams to sign Moss until I heard about the catering thing. Then I was dead set against it. I had Moss pegged as just a guy who wanted to win more than he wanted to be a great teammate. But he's worse than that, much worse as Mr. Scot pointed out.

The Rams are building the right way. No Leonard Littles this time. If that means losing games that two Randy Moss plays would have won (like at Tampa Bay), then so be it.

Smitty suffered huge consequences, 2 game suspension no pay for the last fisticuffs.

Now Smitty is a murderer too?

And there's no doubt in my mind Leaonard Little would still be on the Ram's roster if he was still a good DE. Little spent 11 yeras on the Ram's roster, a man convicted of manslaughter for killing someone while driving drunk. How can you be a Ram's fan and pass judgement on the Panthers?

Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

If you go back and read about the fight you'd see it was a racially charged event. "Lockers decorated with Confederate flags and Ku Klux Klan symbols" was the norm at that High School. It was a group fight and Randy who just so happened to be dating a white girl and was not liked anyway for that reason jumped in. Since he was 18 years old he was charged as an adult. He plead guilty and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and got expelled from school. Did Randy and his friends go too far in the fight? Maybe, but if it was racially motivated hell I might have been inclined to get a few extra kicks and punches in. To say "Nothing happened to him because the athletic program protected him" would be just untrue.

I don't have to go back and read about the fight. I was living in West Virginia at the time and heard the full story at the time it happened. The stuff you're seeing is revisionist. For what he did, he should have gotten a lot worse, but he was Randy Moss.

Nice try.

Leonard Little's teammates took him out and got him drunk, first time he'd ever gotten drunk, on his 21st birthday, and he drove home. Stupid thing to do? Yes. Equivalent to hiring a hitman to murder your girlfriend? Not by a long shot.

And neither one of these grevous incidents have a single thing to do with Steve Smith.

Nice try.
