Matt Moore sure was pissed off after that Rams game

Moore has not looked good this season... but who has? the QB is the face of the offense, and he is going to take the heat. it's how the position works. is it fair? I think so, but that's another debate entirely. He throws the ints, even if the receivers are running the wrong routes or the ball bounces off a helmet or a hand or whatever. 10 interceptions this season can not all be explained away as not his fault at all(and I'm not saying people defending him claim they can be). They fall on him.... that being said...

Moore has been at very least good in many of his games throughout his short career. He has looked terrible in many games this season, but so have Smith, Williams, Stewart, Gross... and I would argue they are each some of the better players at their position in the NFL.

Our problems go so far beyond the quarterback position it isn't even funny. At one point I enjoyed arguing semantics, but it comes down to this: Moore is not playing well and neither is anyone else on the offense. Though I have my reasons for thinking we will move away from Moore this season still, I think that calling him completely terrible at this point is more than a little unfair. He may not be good enough to lift our crappy offense, but I honestly think very few QBs are.

Good post. I think if you look at his career numbers in starts only, it would be hard to find very many QBs in this league that have those type of numbers, even with some of his bad games this year. People will be surprised that if/when he gets run out of town how good he will be in another city. Moore finds a way to leave all doubters with their foot in their mouths. He did it in college and he has done it so far to his predraft critics (Can anyone name a QB that has played better than him in that draft) and will eventually do it here/somewhere else. The problems go deeper than Moore and we will realize that if/when he leaves.

You guys can blame Matt Moore all you want but I dont think any QB could succeed in this system. Our system is designed around being able to run the ball and taking shots through the air when we can and its obvious our o line is a joke when it comes to running the ball, they couldnt block a college defense. It would be nice to see what Matt can do if our coaching staff would change our offense and open the playbook. We have zero chance of success the way we are running the ball, zero. Wtf happened between last year and this year with the running game, its pitiful

I'm not saying Matt's the answer but first and foremost where is our running game? we should be able to line up run the ball whether they know we are or not, that was the case last year and we're missing that. We dont scare anyone in any phase of the game. Thanks for jacking up the ticket prices and then putting a bad product on the field Jerry, and then not even addressing your fans, thanks a lot man.

what bugs me most is clearly we can't run. if you can't run, then a pure playaction, downfield passing game is pretty risky. it's like our gameplan is to bang our head into a brick wall... =\

I dunno... the way our team is built is not working, and it seems as if we can't find a way to be consistent with the pieces we have.

...they sure as hell could be worse... o.o

having the two lowest rated QBs in the league is enough, let's not add to it with the lowest 3 or 4, please.

1 win on the season against a team that had only 1 win at the time is not very impressive, we can only go up. And it took almost 5 quarters to beat them!

You can go from a QB who won 1 game this season to any of the other 3 on the roster with 0 wins... and they are likely to stay that way...

Moore may not get us a ton more wins but I don't even know why we drafted Pike and I don't think AE is the answer right now either. He has not been practicing at QB hardly at all, and only in a limited Mountaineer package.

Actually Matt Moore and Derek Anderson are the two lowest. Clausen, Max Hall, McCoy, The Golden Calf of Bristol, and the other rooks that haven't thrown 100 passes yet don't get rated (although much of the huddle has concluded that Clausen sucks anyway).
