Also maybe Widemore was tracking Ben and them over the last 20 years. We know they came and went from the island via a submarine many times so they may have got clumsy. I know Ben had a video of Widemore questioning one of his men he showed to Locke, perhaps they gave up the coordinates.

I assumed Whidmore had narrowed down the location and when Charlie blew up the underwater station (Pearl?) that the island was revealed because the cloaking device had been removed...

Indeed, this is also how Penny came to find the island too. I think the island has some crazy history, starting with way back with the toe statue, and then the Blackrock, the French scientist crew, etc. They better start answering, cause to answer all the questions it'll take the whole last 2 seasons it seems. Also we find out from the opeing scene that Dharma didn't put the wheel of time there, so there's some ancient history going on there. Anyone know anything about ships? Does that wheel look like a steering wheel from a old ship (like the blackrock maybe?).

I think the wheel definitely looks like it's from a ship

this may be a stupid question..but why does the island keep jumping..you'd think with Ben just turning the wheel one time it would only change times once..is it b/c the 6 left the island? will it stop once they return?

I don't think it's the island that's jumping.

It's the people on the island are jumping back and forth through time. The only reason they're not dead is because they have constants. Except for Charlotte.

It's possible the island keeps jumping because it's trying to prohibit the them from meeting up with another version of themselves or something. Getting the people back on the island could point it back into the original timeline.

It's possible that Ben and that old lady are trying to save the universe or something, if these people meet up with themselves it may all blow up.

Just as I suspected, Widemore was a other and was on the island in the past. Also, it's pretty obvious now that Faraday's mother is the white haired lady "Mrs. Hawkins" cause she's in L.A. too. You guys remember that scene where Locke was a boy and he was picking items? I think this is why Richard went there is cause Locke JUST told him to go find him when he is born. Remember when Locke was born? Who was there? Richard.... This time Locke chooses the right items I bet.

Also guys, that blond chick on the island with the gun, that's Faraday's mother. He said she looked familiar and well that's why. In the enhanced version of the last episode it said Mrs Hawkins name was "Eloise." The girl on the island, her name was "Elie" I believe.

Also, MODS, can we get this moved to Nerdvana????

Man, I love this show. Season two I think is where it lost a lot of viewers because they were still creating more questions than they were answering and they seemed to be dragging out the hatch countdown thing. They righted the ship in season 3 and 4 though. Season 4 might be my favorite season of any show on TV. Now if anything is going to turn people off it'll be the Sci-fi portion of the show that they eventually had to get into. Either way I don't care. Lost and Battlestar are no doubt my favorites on TV.

Nice call on Widemore Maximus. I knew the old lady was Faraday's mom but I didn't even think of Elie possibly being her at a younger age. You may have pegged that one too.

If Widemore is Faraday's father, that'll be a trip too.
