The grey haired lady was in a episode from season 3 I think called "Flashes Before your Eyes" when Desmond was time traveling. She was the lady that worked in the jewelry story and told Desmond he can't buy a ring cause he didn't do that the first time, and all of this. She has a big part in this, and a lot of people are thinking she is Faraday's mother (Faraday told Desmond last night to find his mom at Oxford). Also, when Desmond was at that monk place in one of the seasons, the monk leader had a picture of him and the grey haired lady (her name is Mrs Hawkins i think) standing in front of oxford on his desk.

It's odd how they showed that at the beginning. I'm guessing it's possible that eventually they time shift to that part of history and he goes under-cover, but I don't know.

I kind of feel like he's been on the island before. If you remember when he seen the plane crash on TV (the first time we seen him) he just started crying and didn't know why? It's odd. I think the island "wheel of time" was turned before, and I think Widemore may have been the one that did it (which is why he left the island and couldn't find it again). It's possible some sort of things happened to Faraday if he was around back then, but who knows. It's possible that the Pierre Chang guy's baby is Miles (I don't know if we found out the sex of the baby or not). I think Charlotte was the little girl that Ben played with back in the day, but not sure about that either.

Charlotte also needs to find a constant before she dies.

Oh I don't know if they are answers, just theories that sometimes make sense I guess lol. I don't think we know how Widemore found the island before he turned the wheel OR when he found it 20 years later (or 30 I can't remember). Widemore obviously knew about the island, in the episode where Desmond goes to Widemore for Penny's info, Widemore is buying a journal in a auction, a journel from the captain of the black rock (the boat that is on the island) so he's been trying to find his way back for a while it seems. Also, in last years show, Ben said that he and Widemore can't kill each other, it's either cause they are each other's constants or the island just won't allow it, I'm thinking constant but I don't know for sure.
