The way they wrapped everything up with the characters was awesome. The way they wrapped up the show was horrible. I guess they figured they couldn't explain all the mysteries so they decided to explain nothing. I agree with Zcustom - the real appeal of the show was the island and the mysteries, and they just dropped the ball with all of it. With the way they ended things they at least had the perfect opportunity to explain Walt.

but Kate acted like she's been waiting on him for a while, so I don't get it, did he die AFTER her? Pretty confusing.

she said i missed you so much. jack died in the last scene on the island. kate got off on the plane with sawyer, frank, miles, etc. she died later and he finally found her in the alt (after they all died).

I missed the last two seasons, but figured I'd watch the finale because I watched the first four religiously and maybe it would tie things up. Plus, they caught you up to speed (sort of) in the show before the finale.

But I'm still wondering what the hell happened. Was everything on the island just crap? Obviously the flash sideways stuff was. At the end they showed the plane crash with no one walking around. So was this like that book we read in high school where the Civil War guy envisions an entire escape and life just before he gets hanged?

here is the explanation i got...also i am only at season 3 and watched it lol...

"To make a very, very long story short we discovered via Christian Shephard aka Jack’s dead father that all of the people on Oceanic 815 including Desmond, Daniel, Charlotte, Kate, Sawyer, Miles, Lapidus, Claire, Sayid, Sun, Jin, Richard, Michael, Walt, Miles, Ana Lucia, Locke, Hurley and Benjamin did really live on the island but when they died they moved on to L.A for their afterlife where they had the life that they always dreamed off. In The End we learned that those who did eventually find a way to forgive the people who hurt them , and forgave themselves were reunited with the people who meant something to them an went to heaven.

What a piece of poo. This fuging show has me so fuging pissed off.

I thought I could wait for a night and let the ending sink in and see if it got better as I thought about it. I have watched it twice now, and I am still pissed.

I don't give a flying fug about artsy b.s. and how it was all about human connections and that is so sweet and emotionally satisfying. It is pure and absolute poo, that is what this ending was. Anyone that says different is fooling themselves. I am going to break my fuging tv, all of the time I wasted on this damn show and that bs is the ending. I am fuging pissed.

Complete and total cop-out from a bunch of dumb-asses that got in over their heads writing a tv show. So they poo in the floor and filmed it, then called it a finale.

ASSHOLES.

Hey House did you like the finale?

Man, I am so upset about this bullshit.

I never watch tv, except for sports. That is the only thing I ever watch. Until this show came along and the (now ex) girlfriend, got me involved with it.

I hate tv, except for this show, I allowed it to suck me in. I bought all of the seasons on dvd. I was genuinely interested in what happened and this is how they end it. I am angry. I was so mad last night that I unplugged every tv in my house and put them screen down in the floor. (i was pretty drunk too)

Such a fuging cop-out.
