i don't think Richard is dead.

I do think Ben is the next MIB/Smokie

What I didn't get is why the MIB has been saying all along he wanted to get off the island only to reveal at the end of the episode that he, as Jacob told, wants to destroy the island.

Because "getting off this island" gets alot more empathy and sympathy than "I'm going to kill everyone by destroying the island". No one would've helped him at all. It's been one long con with him.

The more I think about it, the smoke monster is going to take the form of Christian when he faces Jack. It's all set up perfectly for it, especially now that they've found Christian's coffin in the alternate reality.

Jack is going to kill his father.

They didn't find the coffin in the ALT. That was Desmond calling Jack from his car pretending to be with Oceanic. No coffin yet!

I was disappointed that Ben went back to his old self; I thought for sure he was going to try to kill the smoke monster and die valiantly in the process.

IMO Ben will do anything to stay alive including lying to the Smoke Monster. Nice turn at revenge for Alex, though. "He doesn't get to save his daughter." lol After MiB said he was going to destroy the island, I'd be surprised if Ben doesn't turn on him (especially once the real John Locke shows up which I think will happen).

How did I forget that? :P

I'd love to see the real John Locke back, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I don't think Jack is the replacement at the end. I don't know why I feel that way but it just seems like him becoming the replacement was too convinient. Somehow I think Sawyer will take over before the end. Jack has a kid in the alt universe and hence he is not alone anymore whereas Sawyer is still alone.

I think Sawyer and Kate somehow get together in the alt. Perhaps Sawyer busts Kate out of jail -- like she said, "You don't seem like a cop to me." That's not Sawyer's destiny.

I agree that Jack seems too obvious -- he's been the leader in some way since the first episode. But while viewers like unpredictability and surprises throughout the series, I think they want the series as a whole to end the way it should end: with Jack as the leader.

Now, at the same time, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see that it is really Hurley. Hurley has grown a lot as a character, and the fact that Jacob speaks to him and that he can see people that died on the island says a lot. I mean, he couldn't see dead people before, right? I think it's clear he has a relationship with the island.

Plus, remember last night he said, "I'm glad it's not me" when Jack said he'd be the one to go after Smokey. Why would the writers even have him say that? I think he's actually a little upset, as he was starting to develop into a leader.

And remember Hurley was working with Desmond everyone back together in the alt?

So yeah -- if it's not Jack, I think it's Hurley.
