Wow! No one has anything to say about what I would call the most revealing episode of the whole series. This week made up for the crap last week that is for sure. I just hope they keep this pace up. I am still very confused, like who was the kid, and what was Smocke (Smokie/Locke) talking about when he was explaining the whole candidate thing to Sawyer? I think he was lying to him. I think there is more than what he is telling Sawyer. Either way I felt like this ep. showed progress in getting to the end. I was shocked when we saw the #'s again. This time next to everyones names. Why was Kate not on the list? Maybe Jacob thinks she sucks as much as I do.

my favorite part of the episode is when flocke threw the white rock into the ocean and said its an inside joke.

it was very ironic when locke (in 2004) was talking about how he didnt believe in destiny when thats all locke talks about on the island.

Yeah this week definitely made up for last week. I loved that they made Ben a school teacher. This episode made me think more that Jacob represent destiny and smokie represents free will.

Did anyone else think 'hey look, Jacob's ladder'?

Haha yep. I think there was a ladder in Jacob's cabin when Ben first took Locke there as well.

I had a dream about how Lost was going to end the other night. I know, That's weird. I will try to explain it, because I think it may be close to being accurate.

Most of us who are big Lost fans know this much. The #s are the #s in the Valenzetti Equation. It is supposed to accurately predict the end of Humanity. Dharma was there to try to find a way to alter the numbers in the Valenzetti Equation. In other words try to postpone or stop the end of Humanity. So the end of Humanity seems be important to the plot of the show.

The dream I had kind of explained it all like this.

The Island is a cage for the smoke monster. He had three chains (so to speak) holding him on the Island. One was the Electromagnetism, that is now destroyed, another is Jacob, now dead, and not sure what the last one is. He is what will end Humanity. Jacob is like the warden. As long as the monster is caged Humanity will live on. I am not sure as to how, but the monster would do something that would cause the end of time, when he leaves. That is how he goes home. He ends Humanity and his job is complete. He is restless. He knows what his task is, and has been waiting sense the beginning of Humanity. He wants to get it over with, and go home. Jacob has been bringing people to the Island to try to calm him. To show him that Humanity is still good, and that he needs to wait until he is called upon to end it. This is why Jacob does not communicate very much with the Others on the Island. He lets them decide what is right and wrong on there own. This is how he tries to show the Monster people are still good. Jacob was not always Jacob. This is a cycle that has been going on for a long time. The ash that stops the monster is the ashes from the previous Jacobs. I doubt they are all called Jacob, but you get what I am saying. That's really all I got, but most of that was actually from a dream I had where I was watching the last episode. Kinda strange to dream about a show, but I actually like this theory.
