I was thinking that at the end of last season. When Jacob visited Kate and Sawyer as kids he kind of reinforced their bad behavior - taking up for Kate when she stole and supplying the pen for Sawyer to write the letter he later obsesses over. He was encouraging the bad behavior that made them who they are.

And yet -- as with the others -- he was setting in motion the behavior that would inevitably lead them to the island.

As I said, I may very well be wrong on my theory that the smoke monster was posing as Jacob when talking to Hurley. Just have to wait and see, I suppose.

i still want answers to this show but last night's episode was TRBL turrible

oh and this is where i'm confused. sayid is "infected" or whatever so they have to kill him. okay, kill him. because he was totally dead before and he came back to life infected. seriously what's to stop this from happening again if they just kill him?

kate is the worst character. i mean, as far as the show goes on the island in the grand scheme of things, she's fine. but when they go into her backstory and her emotions and stuff.. it just annoys the hell out of me. plus she has a man body imo.

This episode was one of the worst I have ever watched. The writers are stalling, and it is so obvious. Do you really think these people at the temple (others) would still be so secretive to the survivors. I mean it is obvious that Jacob wanted them there. It is obvious they are important, so why is Ninja man and Hippie man being so secretive. The reason is because if they tell the survivors then we would know, and they dont want us to know yet. The Alt Reality thing is also very boring. I hope it will serve a purpose, but I am also thinking this is a stall tactic and in the end it will not matter that much. I will watch this till the end, no matter what. It is one of my favorite shows of all time, but this season needs to pick up soon. Stop stalling! Give us answers! We will still watch!

i think home for the man in black could be the temple.

I don't know about that. As the smoke monster he's already been there when he grabbed the men from Rousseau's group and more recently he judged Ben.

Here's a head scratcher. Sawyer & Kate are back at the DI village. Yet it looked nothing like the DI village we saw when Frank, Sun, Ben, & FakeLocke visited. It looked like it was in much better condition, not like it had been abandoned 30 years ago.
