Fox on Peppers: Let the process work

MOBILE, Ala. -- Panthers officials are being very tight-lipped about the Julius Peppers situation.

General manager Marty Hurney and coach John Fox, along with the team's coaching and college scouting staffs, are attending Senior Bowl practices this week to check out prospects for the NFL draft.

When asked today if he thought there was still a chance Peppers could play for the Panthers next season, Fox said: "It's a process. I don't like predicting a process. We'll go through it and see how it works out."

There really isn't much for him to tell. Peppers will need to be franchised then traded.

Knowing the Panthers like I do. We will fug up the trade somehow and end up taking a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick for Peppers, along with another 3rd round pick for 2010. :( Instead of trying to work us into the first round of the draft this year.
