Let me go on the record and say...

...I am not jumping off the Clausen bandwagon, for I was never on said bandwagon. I did not like the pick when it happened, nor do I like it now. I am pulling for the kid because he is a panther now, but dammit, i didn't want him anywhere near our team. I know it's way too early to call him a bust, trust me, I know. I'm just saying I never wanted him to begin with. I wanted to wait another year after we gave matt the team to see if a move must be made.

I am, in a sense, off the Matt Moore bandwagon now. It has become apparent that he will most likely not be brought back next year, and if he is, it won't be as the starter. I really wanted him to succeed, but he isn't doing that, so logically, I should not be so attached to him because we are most likely throwing him away this offseason, pending some miraculous last 9 game manning-like beastlyness. It saddens me and I feel bad for matt, but I want what's best for the franchise.

Having said all this, I wanted Andrew Luck last year, and I still want him now. In my opinion (just my opinion) he will be a better pro QB than clausen will. If the bills end up having the first overall pick, then i say we trade them clausen and our first or their first and call it even.

Believe me, nothing would make me happier than jimmy clausen proving me wrong somehow, and making it apparent that we don't need andrew luck, but all i can say is that when matt moore was an undrafted free agent rookie that got a start for our team, he looked better than clausen did his first couple starts.

this is not an I told you so thread, this is a why I feel the way I do thread. If you don't care, here's a picture of a good looking woman:

here name is kyla cole. google her for naughty pichas.

don't say you didn't gain anything from this thread.

So basically you're saying you don't like any of our QBs (given that you also didn't mention Pike). :P

There is a lot to look forward to next year (barring any lockout). Lots of changes, certainly in coaching, and probably at QB. Here's hoping it's the breath of fresh air this team needs

also we're not going to get the first pick by trading clausen >.<

I know, it would be a dreamy situation though... good times...

and to answer your fist question, I didn't want clausen anywhere near the field this year. he is a rookie, and rookies suck at QB. It's just the way the world works (I don't want to hear any matt ryan or Joe Flacco crap either... ALL rookie Qbs suck)

Since we were stuck with him, I didn't want him to be broken like david carr. I wanted his ass to sit for a year at least, it kind of worked amazingly for carson palmer, philip rivers, and aaron rodgers...

but they kind of screwed the pooch on that idea, so i figure, hey, if at the end of the year they still suck, why not throw the kid out there for a game or two. see if he's actually learned anything over the course of the year.

Would you be adverse to seeing Clausen at some point this season barring a complete and total turnaround by the offense(and with it a return of Montana Moore)

I'm just wondering mav, what exactly do you expect to see different if you put Clausen in there next week?

Do you honestly expect to see Clausen ever put up a performance like Matt did last week with THIS team?

He'll be lucky to get out unhurt and healthy next time he plays. You think the O-line was bad so far? Watch what happens now when they really have no reason for them to bust their asses any more...

What we saw so far was an O-line doing their best....now you're about to see a team with an O-line that's going to care less to come out of the game with a tore ligament, busted knee caps, or what have you. Ugly is putting it nicely.

I guess your suggesting this team is going to quit on Fox?

So funny reading the Clausen bashers.

Bradford is in an ideal rookie situation. As we all saw yesterday he fumbles just like other rookie QBs and his passer rating is low just like other rookie QBs. Playcalling and system are ideal and he is performing well...for a rookie. His numbers were no where close to lights out yesterday... don't credit him for the Panther's not being able to score more than a field goal until the end of the game.

Max Hall benched last week after 2 pick sixes. Matt Moore.. I mean Derek Anderson... has now taken back over that team.

Colt McCoy throws for a whopping 76 yards and beats the Saints... so he is amazing.

Give it a rest guys. This offense is at the bottom of the league WITHOUT Clausen. You can't expect a rookie to come in and turn things around over night. What you want is a good offense WITHOUT the rookie, so he can learn. That obviously isn't happening this year.

Clausen lit up Stanford (Luck) and Washington (Locker) last year when they played head to head. There was no disputing in 2009 who the best quarterback on the field was either day. He's had a rough start but to write him off given this situation makes me actually glad the current FO is in charge and not some of you.

That said, I'll be glad when Fox and Co. are in Cleveland (where they belong) or possibly Dallas next year.

Bradford is in anything but an ideal situation. Coming to a team with 3 wins in 2 years is not ideal. Coming to a team with receivers not one person except for their parents knows is not ideal. Coming to a team with a defense most people could only name two players on is not ideal.

Nice try.

Clausen had superior talent to those two teams and there is no disputing that. Clausen had 2 receivers and a tight end that will be in the NFL while only going up against 4 DBs the whole year that went to the NFL, only one of those 4 going before the 7th round (Taylor Mays). Go ahead and take that in.

clausen didn't play those two, The defenses did. Luck was younger last year, and he made his share of mistakes, but i swear to god that kid has a poise about him that makes him a beast, I can't explain it. I don't understand it myself, I just have a great feeling about that kid. Don't have it about locker though. Don't know why.
