Which do you think is more likely?

Fox to the Cowboys would be the best situation for him. That team has a large amount of proven talent on both sides of the ball. He'd probably get coach of the year if he can manage to lead them deep into the post season.

Think this might happen. For a while I thought he would go to the Giants but Coughlin isnt giving that position away this year. Here is my list of possible destinations.

1. Cowboys

2. Chargers

3. Bears

4. Cleveland

He will be a highly sought.

Fox is going to walk into a HC role somewhere. He's adored around the league for some reason.

Probably because they all know him better than fans who have never talked to him.

Fox is too boring to ever land a media job so he'll definitely be coaching next year.

Watch him turn into a commentator years down the road and actually do a good job.

I can't think of anyone who was a head coach for as long as Fox has been a head coach and who then decided to step back into a DC role. It's an ego thing. Fox will either be a head coach or he'll be on the beach.

However, if you're thinking that he's not going to be good in the studio, you might want to reconsider. He won't tell you what's going on in his team's locker room, but from all accounts he's gregarious and charismatic in person. He may be better than Gruden behind the mike, certainly better than Cowher, as long as he's talking about other people.

I think he'll have a lot of options, and DC is not one he'll even consider.

browns. maybe the bills. maybe the 49ers. it will be some team that is bad and has a record of hiring bad coaches.

there will only be a couple retreads getting jobs next year...cowher and gruden. the rest of the open jobs will continue to go to the guys without any pro HC experience, just like it has been for the past 5 years or so. most teams aren't looking at hiring retreads. they'd rather find someone looking to make a name for himself rather than someone trying to rebuild his reputation.
