The Huddle proves why we have a terrible fan base

As for Fox like I said I am not supporting him but I will support the fact that he has accomplished more then a decent amount of coaches out there.

And Proudiddy you are a perfect example of who this was addressed to. Check out the Bobcats forum all of your posts are almost identical when talking about 2 different sports.

Thanks for the insight! I'll be sure to censor my posts in the future after watching yet another mediocre performance by our local teams!

Congratulations on turning the entire interwebz universe on it's head with this one single groundbreakingly unique thread.

Our team is poo. Our owner knew it would be poo. And now we get to enjoy watching them play like poo every week. If you don't like what I and the majority of this board have to say about that, then don't read it and find another blind homer board to bring your attention ***** originality to.

I have never seen so much bitching and people with flip flopping opinions. Other teams fans who read this message board must come in here and just start laughing. I would hope most of you knew what we were walking into before this season started. We are young and it will take time. If you don't have the patients to wait then stop coming on here and just making stupid posts to complain.

We play Fox ball. If we can't run we can't win it is that simple. If we can't fix that then we will continue to lose until we get some new coaches in here or get the run game going again. If you can't wait for that then go become a fair weather fan and cheer for someone who is going to win.

Oh and I love all the (Insert player's name) sucks and has lost a step threads. The entire team is having a rough season of course no one is going to look good.

1) Seriously? What other teams sites can you reference which are as you describe?

2) Patience (or you may be right, b/c many of us will be psychiatric "patients" if Fox keeps this crap up!): Let just skip football for a couple years & meet back here in 2012? We are fans...we are supposed to care...ALWAYS. Accepting mediocrity proves weakness. If we want a strong fan base (like this board has) we must debate & have empassioned views. Being young is not an excuse. Next, if we can't make stupid posts then you just broke your own rule! ;)

3) Fox ball is 'foxxing-up' this team. There have not been fair-weather fans here for a couple of weeks now (no reason to be here, except last week). :(

4) Regarding the 'player sucks'...you are right. Again tho, it's what fans do. If you want good fans, we should expect passion, irrationality, love for team, hate for anyone who limits success, & overall just wanting the team to win.

You should be hating on Jerry Richardson, John Fox & Marty Hurney...NOT the fans. ;)

I just thought it was funny how we win 1 game and the threads about how the sky is falling seem to lighten up by 85% but then we lose again and it all goes negative again, I agree that most of the fan base on this site is bandwagoneers and I wish they would jump off instead of littering the board with pointless threads about poo we all know and think to ourselves but dont really care to see online....

Additionally, SS, if you think you have a better plan for a board, then go create this utopian ideal of a board you speak of and see how long it lasts. The point of message boards/discussion boards are to communicate.

What do you think people are going to post that's positive when their favorite team that they bleed black and blue for are standing at 1-6? It doesn't work. The board would die.

Do you do a stand-up routine at a funeral? Exactly. Get over yourself.

Just to clarify I never mentioned other teams message boards. I said

Other teams fans who read this message board must come in here and just start laughing.

And I did probably go a little bit overboard with this thread. But really, is there a need for the same exact posts after every single game. I don't know maybe that is why I don't have over 1,000 posts and all that.

Thanks for correcting Patience I missed that one.

Why don't you go to a different message board then, if this 1 is filled with "undesirables"?!

Why do we end up haiting on one another more than just debate our opinions...b/c they are all just opinions...I doubt any of us are paid consultants for the team.

Lighten up & have fun. I hate the way this season is going, but I am not going to hate die-hard or bandwagon Panther fans. At least they are Panthers fans instead of Falcons or other stupid teams! :)

Yup, I'd rather read real fans saying real things they feel than have them spew happy happy joy joy poo. We get enough of that from Fox.

Again OP do you even know what a MB is for????

People bitch and moan on a MB they will always Bitch and moan on a MB. That is why you have a MB so you can get crazy and post your dumbass opinoin or ask dumbass question.

Yes I do know what it is for. What you just described and what I see a good bit of on this site is flaming. I know it is because there are a lot of fans who are angry but there is no need to ruin peoples posts with nonsense.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
