Ask yourself this Question......

Imagine that whatever player you could draft next year, would have played this game today. Take every position you could draft, DT, DE, OL, OT, QB, WR.......out of all these positions and all available players, who would be the only one to truly make a difference and have made it easier or closer to winning this game?

Imagine that whatever rookie you drafted came out ELITE, who would truly make a difference......the answer your looking for is not DT, DE, OL, OT, OR WR none of those would have won us the game today, none of them would have made a difference if we can't score points. We need a future QB like its going out of style.

PS Not giving up on clausen, just saying that apperently there is a difference between the 1st pick and the 48 pick....loses don't even hurt anymore.....what a sad season. :(

I'd go with DT. By next year Hardy and Brown will be better an elite pocket collapsing DT would put our defense in the #1-2 category.

I'd be reluctant to take a QB because we just got Clausen, I think Gettis will be pretty good so I don't know if I can justify another WR. I mean if it's a Calvin Johnson then I guess I'd pull the trigger.

An elite defensive tackle. We shut down runs to the outside most of the time. If the team can't run to the inside either we'll be cooking. If this DT can collapse the pocket maybe Browns spin move will finally start working.

A close 2nd would be an elite RG. A guy that can slide to RT when otah gets injured. When otah is healthy the run game would be unstoppable.

How would Suh from the LIONS win this game today. 20-3 with 5 minutes to go, how would a triple teamed suh win this game.

so we wouldn't have started playing Suh until the last part of the 4th quarter?

Suh would have eliminated any runs to the inside and helped push the pocket on 3rd downs. We would have had a much better chance.

Luck. Again, the only position on the field that can singlehandedly lose games or win games based on their individual play are QBs.

very true.

the exact answer to the question to me would be a QB (unless Clausen shows us something crazy).

that being said, I think our biggest problem has little to do with the talent level of our players.
